Let me fill you in on a secret: not ALL the great SNES games came out at launch. Not ALL the PS1 classics came out at launch. Most of the big games never do, because they have to make sure the console is WORTH investing in in the first place. Game development anymore takes AT LEAST two years for a new IP.
I started playing in gen 4 & can say that so far, Gen 8 is indeed the worst.
I also realize that the gen is only 2 & 1/2 years deep on the PS / XB side & aren't completely done on the Nintendo side so it's an unfair comparison Plus, I believe traditional gens will disappear
I personally believe 2016 & 2017 will be great from all 3.

The generation has barely reached 3 years, and you are already saying that?To be quite honest, gen 8 is looking so far to be better than gen 7.Sure, gen 7 has some timeless games, but gen 8 is looking better overall and has already a few gems.And it didnt even end.So yeah, maybe wont be the best one, but it wont be the worst

Lets wait and see. The 7th gen doesn't look so good when you just look solely at the first 3 years.
Personally, I feel the 8th gen is great and in comparison many 7th gen games haven't aged so well.

Maybe ninth is even worst because MS and SONY are more greedy every day... But don't worry for me it won't be because i play on PC now :)
This gen feels better than last gen for sure. The two gens I participated in before that though are stiff competition. VR will (or won't) be the game changer
