Try this.  Stand up and look at the image from oblique angles.  Let your LCD monitor contrast the image.  Trust me.  You'll see E.T.

Lol, I do see how it looks like ET. I'd say just a funny coincidence.

Agree. It's a coincidence. If you really want to, you can see the shape of E.T. under the rock in the first pic as well.

There is a very real problem I have with that image from the second angle. The screen cuts off halfway across the thumbstick, which makes it impossible for the image to take up the entire screen as was displayed in the white controller leak. That is definitely not a reflection as I have seen many say, that is a clear ending of the screen followed by a lighter black underneath the rest of the glass. I can tell because there is a shadow being cast from where the screen is positioned above the underneath of the controller. Original photo:

This, to me, confirms these as not being real NX prototypes as they contradict one another. Will wait for official unveil from Nintendo.

It really is a reflection from the monitor frame. Angle fits perfectly.

I thought about that too but I think that's the top edge of the monitor.

And I counter that by saying why isn't the monitor reflected anywhere else in the photo then? The sun is behind it, there is clearly also a light on the desk, but if you look, the monitors shadow goes left, implying that's the position of the sun. It should be covering an reflecting at a completely different angle, not to mention from the size of that monitor vs the position of this device, the top of the monitor would be well beyond the device from the angle the photo is taken. My other point though, if that's a reflection or a shadow, or ANYTHING from the TV, why can you see the head in the right corner of the screen (or whatever that is)? They would be taking the photo from a HIGHER angle, no? So how could the top of the tv be reflecting way over on the other end of the screen, when the person taking the photo is reflected on the opposite side CLOSER to the monitor?

Also, just as an aside, I just tried it on my desk in my office, and putting my phone that close to my monitor catches the reflection of the bottom of my monitor and a little bit of the screen, but nowehere near the top as in this. I don't think that's a reflection.

It's sitting next to the WiiU gamepad! It must be official! :P

Honestly guys, I've dealt with enough rumors. I'll wait for an official announcement from Nintendo.

Look at both the images.  IN the first one, the device is farther to the left and you can clearly tell the device screen is split by the shadow from the left edge of the monitor.  In the second image, the device has been moved toward the middle of the monitor.  That same light and dark ridge on the left hand that in the first iamge was the shadow of the monitor is also visible in the second image.  If you follow the shape, it fits well with the shape of the monitor and its shadow.

The image being reflected onto the device in the second image is there because the device is now mostly in the shadow of the monitor and the overhead ceiling light or other lamp is casting downward onto the mirrored surface.

I see what you mean now, but it's very hard to argue definitively I guess What that is, because it does look like it could be the thin edge of the top of a monitor, or a shadow beneath the screen display. Thanks for pointing that out!

PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY, ITS PROBABLY 99,9% FAKE 0,01%TRUE

since i cant start a thread i post it here, some "anon" claiming to know what the nx is on 4chan, its interesting because its been long rumored that the NX will interact with phones/tablets and can be something like that but who knows, heres what he posted:

-will have an x86/AMD64 CPU and GCN graphics
-will have considerably more performance than the Playstation 4(.0)
-will have a "normal" gamepad, an advanced version of the Pro Controller (Wii U style controller with display will be optional)
-will be more like a new Gamecube than a new Wii because Nintendo moved their focus away from motion control
-will still be no "traditional" console

Even the earliest speculations included rumors suggested that the NX will feature some kind of streaming technology. Some even said X stands for cross(plattform gaming). That's correct.
However, what most people didn't get right is that there won't be any kind of cloud to console streaming (e.g. Onlive). The NX got plenty of power for games.
Instead you will be able to stream from the NX to other devices.

Nintendo had to face that their handheld devices sales were decreasing steadily. Kids would rather get an Iphone than a 3DS.

They had two options: Either release their games for third party plattforms or try something else. They decided for the latter:
You will be able to use the NX like a traditional console but it will also be your ticket to Nintendo mobile games. Nintendo is or will be releasing apps for all major mobile operating systems. Without owning a NX you will be able to communicate with friends through Nintendos plattform or play some mini games. When you own a NX you can purchase games and play them on your mobile. Virtual console titles will get adjustments to work with touchscreen controls and there also will be new developed games.
There also will be home console games that can use your smartphone or tablet to provide an additional HUD or work as a touch control.

"Unit 2?" Maybe there's - please dear God - two different models of controller here.

This is a terrible terrible mistake waiting to happen otherwise. Either we'll have a Wii resurgence that dies off immediately in software figure or somehow something on par with the Wii U, except with a controller with an even worse appearance and functionality than the GamePad.

There's just no way Nintendo can be this stupid.

Dude, we're talking about Nintendo right now, being stupid is nothing new to them.

I'm now filled with determination.

Oh, and my other problem with this? I hate the circle pad, it's flat, it's uncomfortable, and it's just not practical or precise enough for console gaming. So I hope these nubs that are on this controller are not the ones that are on the actual NX controller.

That's the last of our problems, when Wii U was first announced it had circlepads too and we all know they werent there at launch...

At this point, with so much stuff coming from here and there, I don't really think it's worth going into these too much. Just wait until Nintendo unveil it
