And I counter that by saying why isn't the monitor reflected anywhere else in the photo then? The sun is behind it, there is clearly also a light on the desk, but if you look, the monitors shadow goes left, implying that's the position of the sun. It should be covering an reflecting at a completely different angle, not to mention from the size of that monitor vs the position of this device, the top of the monitor would be well beyond the device from the angle the photo is taken. My other point though, if that's a reflection or a shadow, or ANYTHING from the TV, why can you see the head in the right corner of the screen (or whatever that is)? They would be taking the photo from a HIGHER angle, no? So how could the top of the tv be reflecting way over on the other end of the screen, when the person taking the photo is reflected on the opposite side CLOSER to the monitor?

Also, just as an aside, I just tried it on my desk in my office, and putting my phone that close to my monitor catches the reflection of the bottom of my monitor and a little bit of the screen, but nowehere near the top as in this. I don't think that's a reflection.

Look at both the images.  IN the first one, the device is farther to the left and you can clearly tell the device screen is split by the shadow from the left edge of the monitor.  In the second image, the device has been moved toward the middle of the monitor.  That same light and dark ridge on the left hand that in the first iamge was the shadow of the monitor is also visible in the second image.  If you follow the shape, it fits well with the shape of the monitor and its shadow.

The image being reflected onto the device in the second image is there because the device is now mostly in the shadow of the monitor and the overhead ceiling light or other lamp is casting downward onto the mirrored surface.

I see what you mean now, but it's very hard to argue definitively I guess What that is, because it does look like it could be the thin edge of the top of a monitor, or a shadow beneath the screen display. Thanks for pointing that out!
