Great for the people that could order one on time, and kudos to Sony for making a profit with each PSVR.
I missed this pre-order, have to be more alert with the next batch.

No flagship titles, only some of the best selling video games in history? |
I don't think playing old games is going to be the main force moving VR forward (it might interest to the adopters, but it won't be the deal that makes them buy the device). Very few people bought older games with motion controlls attached to them (and even less people bought a Wii360 for them), they bought the new games that used motion controlls to its fullest. Same with the other forms of alternative gameplay. People don't buy an Ipad to play the older Square Enix JRPGs, they have an Ipad already and they decide to buy those games. New games move new hardware, older games are an extra once you already bought the hardware.

It is a success now, but it has to keep being a success for a long time to be worth the investment. And that will have to be seen a year or two after the launch.
last time I checked it was still up for preorder at gamestop

Pre-ordering PS VR means that Sony can show those sales numbers to developers. These developers than have reason to develop for PS VR. If no one preorders PS VR -- then no one will develop for PS VR and the system will die. This is a critical time for VR and you need to early adopt in order to help it grow. |
Lol?
People don't even buy their 60$ exclusives on PS4 (look what happend with Driveclub studio), let alone buying a 500$ useless add-on. I don't think it will ever sell more then 100k this gen.
Not to mention people are saving up for the PS4.5 now instead of PSVR

That doesn't make any sense. Can't you understand WE CAN PLAY ANY game in VR?
Brand new or 15 year old, doesn't matter.

You better reconsider that by a lot, 100K is nowhere near enough for Sony to even want to make those things, and they already sold out in seconds or minutes in the first pre-orders. It's going to skyrocket over 100K sales. |
And where is your proof? Why would people want to buy it when it has no good games (YET)
