Please do it Sony! As an XBox One/ Wii U owner, I want this. Also, there is a way to market this that would benefit BOTH PS4, and XBox One. Games are built on the competitive scene now, imagine being able to cross play in a playlist specifically PS4 vs XBox One. XBox players vs Playstation players, pick a side. It's going to create competition and loyalty to one side or the other, there are many ways to make this work, especially with sports games. There will be eSports teams with players on their own preferred console rather than one or the other, there will be open play where you can be teams from both consoles. Call of Duty, Rocket League, Battlefield, Battlefront, EA Sports titles, all cross-playable.

As long as console manufacturers do not choose to be selfish and try and block one side or the other, gamers rejoice we can play together no matter our console of choice. This would create competition, but also close the divide between which you should buy, or which is better, you'd be playing with your friends no matter what. Exclusives would still be exclusives, Halo, Gears of War, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, etc. So you could still buy a console specifically for those games if you really wanted to, but for the most part, gaming would become UNITED! Competition between XBox players and Playstation players would be all in fun and they could keep running tallies of which side wins the majority of the time, average stats per match, etc. TONS of avenues would open up to show which side is better at which games. I personally am excited, and cannot wait for this to happen!

Sorry if this post seems all over the place, my brain is moving a mile a minute trying to get all of my thoughts down in one comprehensive post haha.

The thing is, it's Siny that has always said they would gladly do cross play with Xbox, they actually asked them a few times with past games but Xbox has alway been against it. Xbox even lost out to final fantasy xiv because it didn't want to do cross play with Ps4 and PC players.

Actually looking forward to this a lot.

Great, nice step in the right direction. Just make all the gaming platforms with cross-playing. NX (if it gets third party support), One, PS4 and PC. Why not? It benefits all of us I think! :)

They already gave a cloudy anwser to Xbox Cross Platform network. If they wanted to, they would have said so right from the start right? Like they always do. Good Guy Sony wouldnt want to not merge communities with there competition correct?

Yeah except the anwser they gave on Twitter would have taken alot longer then "Sure will cross-play with Xbox". You can tell they dont want to, instead they would rather brag about how they have been doing cross -play for years. Whats there to investigate? Its not rocket science.
