Forums - Sony - XCOM: Enemy Unknown PlayStation Vita Is Real and Out Now

The long rumoured XCOM: Enemy Unknown port for PlayStation Vita is real and you can download the game now. XCOM: Enemy Unknown Plus has unexpectedly appeared on the PlayStation Store and is available for £15.99.

Rumours of a Vita version of XCOM: Enemy Unknown first appeared online in July 2015, when it was listen on a Korean video game ratings board's website.

Civilization Revolution 2 Plus, a portable version of the strategy game, is also expected for Sony's portable. It was originally supposed to launch in December 2015, but was pushed to January 26, 2016 just a day before its scheduled release.

The game was delayed yet again on January 24, when it was moved to sometime "later this year," according to a post on the official Civilization Facebook page.

In GameSpot's XCOM: Enemy Unknown review, the PC version of the game was described as "a wonderful and worthy strategy game with a layer of campy charm that makes the stone-faced seriousness of the game's characters all the more endearing."

Reviewed Kevin VanOrd continued: "It's also remarkably accessible, thanks to a great interface that feels comfortable whether you're using a keyboard and mouse or have a controller in your hand. Enemy Unknown packs dense amounts of dramatic tension into each turn. And so it's time to eliminate the alien threat, commander. Select a location, build your base…and save humanity."

Since its release in Enemy Unknown's release in 2012, developer Firaxis has followed up with a sequel. XCOM 2 was released on February 5, 2016 and earned a 9/10 in GameSpot's review.
