I'm just glad that a third Kid Icarus game will be existing!

No, Factor 5 is not working on Kid Icarus. Nintendo would be crazy to outsource the development of that game to developers that have not developed an action RPG. These guys can not developed ground based missions correctly. They've failed with their attempts in Lair and Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike.

All Nintendo needs to do is let a group at HAL, Monolith, or EAD Tokyo develop the game. They all have proven track records and will get the job done.

Let Factor 5 develop PilotWings or some Space Craft combat game like Colony Wars for the PSX.

Kid icarus is a platformer not a rpg.

it did have RPG elements though, since you leveled up, and could buy equipment.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

So now Factor 5 is good that they are working on the Wii...I thought they were supposed to be one of the worst devs in history after Lair?

No to the first question, and Factor 5 has stunk every since Rogue Squadron 3. The last quality title they produced was Rogue Squadron 2 for the Gamecube's launch back in 2001.

I bet Kid Icarus isn't even in development. I have no trust of IGN.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

I hope the developer is not Factor 5.

I hope it is retro.

I'll take my Kid Icarus with some rpg elements but I'd rather it be platforming goodness.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

Given their history with motion controls, this is probably a bad thing. :|

It is in development and it is being developed by Factor 5. I heard about this long before IGN let it slip. Outside of being graphically impressive, I don't know have much hope for Kid Icarus as of right now. At least it will be better than whatever Sega passes off as Sonic in his next title, although that doesn't mean anything at all given Sega's recent history.
