What does "going gold" mean?

Gone to print.

It means when the final touches of a game have been finished and sent for mass production.

edit: Though, that doesn't always means the game is "complete."  See: Street Fighter, or Capcom in general.

Release candidate 15 ?

Alright Sony. You now have almost 2 months to mass produce enough copies of Uncharted 4 to feed the poor children of the world. Those discs may not taste good, but they'll just have to get by. Don't screw it up.

Alrighty, time to copy a lot of discs and store them packages, you have two months to complete! :D

Sounds good for Uncharted fans haha. The wait is finally over.

This has reminded me that I need to go pre order my copy, Also it seems it's gone gold a long time before release.
