used facebook to check my newsfeeds, shared good videos and greet my friends' birthdays. twitter for checking tweets especially for games and sports that I follow.

I like the concept. I do use social media, but I don't make posts all that often cause I'm kind of an introverted person. If the app was sort of nudging me a bit like Miitomo I'd be more into it.

The question is simply whether or not Miitomo will be something a few of my gamer friends will install, or will it be something that a good chunk of people will use.

Twitter isn't only with people you don't know. It's not in the same balpark at all.

It's definitely not an app made to appeal to "gamers."

Honestly it depends on the day, some days I don't touch social media, others I am bouncing in and out of it severals points to either post or get information.

I would sign up for Miitomo.  However, I got rid of my Facebook account so I wouldn't have any "friends" to connect with through Miitomo and I doubt any of my real friends would download this app. So more than likely it would be my Mii jerking it by himself.

I check facebook once every 2-3 weeks, sometimes less, and I dont use instagram or twitter. Snapchat however, at least a few times a day on average.

But that doesn't mean that gamers won't be playing it.  Nintendo fans are definitely going to be the first to try it out.

Neither is Miitomo, forums. Not sure what you are grasping at.

Even if you dont want forums to be social media it really is, which was what I was refering to from the beginning.
