This a dedicated video game forum. I'm willing to bet that most people here either have a passive to outright hatred feeling regarding mobile.

That's the thing. This shouldn't matter. I'm not talking about mobile games. I don't even play those. I'm talking about social media apps. Over 1 billion people use these. That's why it's so weird to me. There's no reason people who play games should have any effect on people going on Facebook.

Everyone who played Tomodachi Life knows very well what Miitomo feels like.
It´s like that game but instead of managing several characters you manage/interact with only your own mii.

And it´s free. It´s more a way for Nintendo costumers to get coins easily to spend on rewards

No, it's definitely not that.

its just another social messenger app that attempts to get users from twitter and fb (already existing social media apps) with a nintendo mii skin.

Sure it has potential to be the big next thing.

I already have 6 different messenger apps (including other social apps) that cover all the different ppl around the world I know and chat too. Why do I need another?

It's not a social messenger app at all.

And you don't need another. You don't even need one. Will still find success. These apps don't live or die by finding a need.

Yup. Poll explains a lot.

I don't quite follow what you mean by reactions. Do you just mean the people on this site, or the general audience? Because it may be a little hard to gauge that until it releases here, or here it from people in Japan. Though, checking from the comments from GameXplain's videos, it looks to be an overall positive response, and a lot of people think it's like Tomodachi Life, myself included.

From what I have seen, it looks like it could be rather addicting, answering weird questions, hearing your friend's responses, and customizing your Mii. I'm looking forward to trying this out myself when it releases.

Also, seeing that they released trailers in multiple languages looks like they are taking this rather seriously.

Mostly here, but other stuff too. I'm not talking about if people like it, but what they seem to be looking for when they play it.

I'd go even further. It'll be hard to gauge until it's been out for months.

Well it is. Just because you can do other things with it doesnt really change the fact that it still functions as a messaging app.

On a side note, and this is not a personal attack on your or anything, but I really think you ought to cut down on the use of 'like' in your OP. It kindof dampers the message you are trying to get across. I think you would have a far more convincing argument if you reduced the 21 or so 'like's.

It's not. I'm not basing it off the fact that you can do other things. I'm basing it off the fact that you can't send send messages. You can only comment on threads. That's not a social messenger app.

Yeah, you're right. Bad habit since I speak that way.

Oh, I see. I got ya. Having been going thru the threads lately, I don't think I've seen people say much on it. Did I miss a thread discussing it or something?

I'm referring everything on Miitomo since the reveal honestly.

If that's what you mean, I agree as well. The reactions and expectations have been kinda weird.
