This is pretty interesting. Witch Hat Atelier is about a girl who always wanted to be a witch but was told that it is impossible unless you have the talent. That turns out to be a lie intended to protect the secrets of doing magic. Somehow she gets involved in a plot between factions and it becomes necessary to bring her into the guild as an apprentice.
It's kind of like Harry Potter but more endearing and personal.

Shino-chan wa Jibun no Namae ga Ienai (Shino-chan Can't Say Her Own Name) - Only 11 chapters from start to finish but this was really, really good. It's about a girl named Ooshima Shino who has a severe stuttering problem. She is especially bad with vowels, which means that saying her own name is one of her biggest problems. As her first day in high school includes a self-introduction ... yeah. It goes a lot deeper than just a communication problem, though, and affects her self-esteem. Highly recommended.

You had me at "endearing and personal."
Also the art looks really famiilar. I wonder if the mangaka is acquainted with someone or did something else I've read.
*researches thoroughly*
Hm...maybe not...*chews the inside of his lip*

Maybe it looks like 7DS kind of?

I think you're right, the face faults look pretty similar.
The manga seems cute though. I'll have to add it to my stack (yeah I know I've said that before; should probably stop playing video games).
By the way...are you watching the Made in Abyss anime? I saw it's airing this season, and you've posted about the webcomic a few times. Curious how it is so far...sometimes anime are good diving boards for me.

Nice! Glad you like it. That opening chapter made my jaw drop XD;

Yeah, I'm watching the Made in Abyss anime, too. The manga is incredible. I've read up to chapter 42, which I think is around where the manga is at in Japan. It's dark. Really dark. I've cried outright once and came very close at another point. If something happens to my favorite character, which I live in absolute fear of, then I'm pretty sure I'll have a mental breakdown.
It's just so original and so very well made. Plus it has some of the best artwork I've ever seen.
If my guess is right, I'm betting the anime ends around chapter 38 or so but you never know.
As for my favorite character, Nanachi is shown a lot in the ED of the anime. She's Best Girl of the season and she hasn't even appeared yet.

I've just started Alyosha but it seems fun. The main character is an assassin from a western country. She was sent to infiltrate a Japanese high school in order to kill an official scheduled to visit. However, right before her suicide mission, she found out her superiors had fallen and was given a final order--that she live on as a normal high school girl. Of course, she has zero idea of how to be "normal".

Dang, it's gotten really busy in here. A lot of manga recs popping up, which all look interesting, and I've been caught up trying to read Oyasumi Punpun, which is... just a really interesting, trippy, and dark manga. I'm not really even sure how to feel about the main character of the story, or most of the cast for that matter. It's just watching characters with serious problems trying to function in everyday life.

I recognize the style of this manga... It's the guy who's done Denkigai no Honya-san and Dansan Joshi, among other titles.
Is this one also perverted like some of his other works? xD Still looks just as comical too.
