Hunter x Hunter is set to return on June 26th

There is no word I can think to express how hype I am for its return.

Interesting, my friend and I were just talking about Hunter x Hunter the other day, wondering when it'll ever resume schedule. Looks like that's happening soon!

Finally had some time for chapters!:

One Piece: Its interesting. I feel like there's a lot of backstory in this arc, but the flow to me has felt both great and necessary. The chapter itself. I was wondering if Caramel was this corrupt mob boss or something. Turns out she's the opposite, and yeah this is worse. She was a really big enabler for Linlin...

... Now that I think about, Linlin isn't really a giant is she? I mean her parents are both regular humans right? its not like she's Whitebeard's height level, she is huge. Kind of makes me think more about Oars and Oars Jr. though obviously they aren't giants. Anyway I can't bring myself to feel bad.

Boku No Hero:

I like how the quirk enhancement drug is used here from the spinoff. Its interesting to see that a lot of the villains this arc have either weak quirks or quirks suited for killing. Suneater is going to take center stage! Wonder how the swordfish he ate will come into play... Mirio with a ponytail feels weird.Though I would love them to fight together. Lumillion and Suneater. Even their names feel completely opposite, but I love how thy are able to support each other.

One Punch Man: summarized

"Saitaima can I become a hero? Can I be your disciple?

Saitama: "Look this isn't Boku no Hero..."

10/10

Jitsu wa watashi wa: I am curious about the previous principle they've been hinting at, but I feel like... I dunno. Dammit Pokoko got in my head over the time travel shtick.

Feel like I read another chapter, but don't quite recall. Ah well.

Updates @_@

One PIece: Backstory arc begins

I feel like there were a ton of cameos this chapter, but even I couldn't keep track of them all (except for Luffy's future commander and the captains that got lost). I'll go on reddit later and see if any of these kids are characters I should recognize.

Big Mom's past is pretty sad, but given what we saw this chapter, I guess I can't blame her parents either. Something is seriously wrong with this child. I can also understand why it's such an uphill battle for her to fulfill Caramel's dream; she was a public enemy of Elbaf (or at least one village).

I'm kind of getting a Of Mice and Men vibe from this chapter, only we know Lenny survives this, and something happens to George.

Anyways, curious what'll come next. What happens to Caramel, how Big Mom lives, and why Big Mom's so devoted to her very image.

My Hero Academia: HEAVY ACTION

Damn, this chapter didn't let up. No extended chase sequence here; everything seems to be moving so quickly.

The Yakuza are so loyal, which is cool for them, but bad for the situation. Mirio better get to Eri fast! Also Deku and Kirishima team was great.

Suneater and Mirio seem really close, I wonder if all of the Big 3 have been together since 1st years. Might be a cool mini-backstory arc.

Shokugeki: Best Senpai

I like how Isshiki borrows something from all his dorm-mates. Ryoko and Marui's fermented wine, Ibusaki and muscle guy's smoked texture, and Yuki and Nikumi's (I guess she's basically a Polar Star now) cheese recipe. Pretty cool that he never forgets where he comes from. His style is cool too. Uses whatever he can to make something new. Makes me feel like he'll be a great rival for Souma later.

Took forever to see one of the main Polar Star members get a real fight, but I suppose one (me) could argue that the main heroine is due even further for a serious battle. Can't wait for that one.

In the meantime, Megashima's fight is coming. I get a bad feeling that he'll lose after the heroes have had two wins. He's supposed to be one of the greatest chefs at Totsuki, but unfortunately he's also a very poorly developed one. Shit...I honestly don't know what's going to happen.

Great week for my main three...already anxious for next week's updates.

As much as I want to, I can't feel pity or sadness for Linlin. Like at all. Especially due to how we see she turned out as Big Mom. Though I do recognize that something is inherently wrong with her. Its weird how the Promised Neverland made me feel even remotely conflicted about Ray and her mother's actions now that I think about it.

Is it me or does this guy's quirk remind of Pica from One Piece? The guy with the high pitched voice who fought Zoro. I almost don't want Mirio to catch up because I'm really worried something may happen if he does. Also it seems little guy can't focus on more than one place with his quirk. Otherwise I think he'd try to confuse Mirio.

Yeah, it's not as though I dislike Yoko.  I think she's really fun, especially the way she gets her fur up around Akane.  She isn't all that compelling, however.  Nagisa, on the other hand, wasn't just "best girl" of the first part of the manga, she was also close to being the actual protagonist.  She had all kinds of character development and was always the one thinking about the situation.  She's also the cutest, especially in color.  I liked Mikan, too.  She had a lot of turmoil and always kept that bittersweet vibe going.  Then the future stuff happened and it felt like Bleach during the "out of good ideas but we're continuing anyway" arcs.

Yeah I've always Nagisa should have been the main protagonist since the beginning. Most of her arcs are too good. The later ones too. I wanted Mikan at one point to get with Kuromine. Shirogane develops into a great character too. Actually after a certain point, most characters develop rather well.

I feel like the time travel arcs are more towards trying to get the story progression because the author has a very bad time trying to figure out how to get there more than running out of good ideas (except for at least one time travel arc that was really good). The future kid definitely feels extra in that regard.

Though Bleach levels? That stings man XD. I used to absolutely love that series and because of that I watched it to the very end, but man was it dissapointing beyond beleif how it went. The anime was by far worse at a certain point. Like they were in the middle of an arc and tiold the viewer that they were going to a completely different story. I was done anime wise when that happened.

This is pretty nifty.  I really like the laid-back vibe.  It's named Yurucamp.  Main characters seem to be a reticent girl who likes to go camping alone and a kind of air-headed girl she "rescues" at the camp-ground.  This turns the air-head on to camping.  Of course, they meet again.  Five chapters are translated.

The series really does have great characters.  That's its strong suit for sure.  I liked pretty much everyone, even the teacher and the werewolf girl.

And, yeah, I take that back about being like Bleach.  It's nowhere near as bad as that.  I quit watching the Bleach anime in disgust when it hit the arc with the other group of people with super-powers.  It's the poster manga for going on longer than it should have (along with Yamada-kun and Variable Number of Witches).

Agreed. I think Oda is very capable when it comes to writing backstories for irredeemable villains. Arlong and Doflamingo were both good examples of this. Both were absolute monsters, and even though their backstories do a great job explaining why they turned out that way, it doesn't remotely absolve them for their actions. I think Big Mom will be the same way, based on how this backstory arc is going.

Nice catch on Pica! Pretty sure you're right about that. My "I think that character appears later but I can't remember how" sense was tingling like crazy.

Uh...about MHA...do you think anyone will get killed off this arc? Deku's foreshadowing from a while back was pretty ominous...like something happens this fight that can't be reversed. I'm kinda worried things are gonna hit the fan.

I love this manga.  It's so chill.

It seems there are three volumes out in Japan and it is supposedly getting some type of anime.

I forgot to share my thoughts on Boku no Hero, and what a chapter it was:

I couldn't help but feel kinda uneasy reading this as they got to the underground area, with the walls shifting around into what looks like a nightmare fuel melting room. It seems like a scary dangerous quirk that seems like the user could kill with it, if they wanted to (of course that won't happen in a shonen manga like this, haha. Still, kinda scary). Also, those bad guys waiting for them in this new room (the scare crow guy looks kinda scary...)

On a lighter note, it's good to see Deku comfortably using All for One... as opposed as how currently is in the anime, haha. That one panel of him breaking the wall with the other guy looks really cool. And I'm really excited to see what the Sun guy is gonna do in the next chapter. He's usually a downer when he's present, so it's nice to see him looking fired up.

Also, the one guy with a mouth horn just looks too funny xD

That's a real fun looking manga. I really nice how the shading is done, with the vertical straight lines. I haven't seen too many manga do this sort of thing, if at all.

More Manga Updates

Neverland: @_@

Nice job, children! I guess this Minerva dude had this in mind long before the manga started.

I wonder what the heck Emma noticed at the end though. Things will probably get worse soon. The demons have plenty of tricks up their sleeve still.

Also, curious if whatever created these strange organisms in the forest also caused the demons to be born in the first place. They referred to them as "lowly creatures", so I guess they're familiar with whatever lies in this forest.

Fairy Tail: ;_;

On one hand, Makarov is back to life again. Totally called that. *shrugs*

On the other...Mavis and Zeref's death scene was handled well I thought. Their entire relationship has been about contradiction, life/death, love/hate, etc. Coming to terms with her feelings was the key to defeating him all along, even if it kills Mavis for real along with him.

Hopefully the last 9 chapters are handled as well as this one. Hiro might fail at story structure, but man is he great with emotional scenes.

One Punch Man: XD

I love how this manga spends so long builing arcs up, pretending to create tension, only for Saitama to just appear and end it like it's nothing. Great finish...was getting tired of all the fodder being thrown at us, so having it finished it like this was great.

Now Suiryu needs to become another of Saitama's apprentices. I love how his posse keeps growing against his will. XD

Seven Deadly Sins: ?

How is Elaine okay again? Did I miss a chapter? She's a cutie so I don't mind it, but I swear it's like death doesn't exist in this manga.

Guess next arc is about saving King Arthur. Should be interesting...hopefully.

Latest Flying Witch was nice.  Chapter was named "Even if cats come the lunch break goes on" which is kind of awesome.  The cats invaded the high school because they heard the lunch on Tuesdays is really good.
