One Piece: Hmm...

It kinda felt like Oda broke Judge too easily. Wasn't expecting him to react this way so early. Maybe I overestimated him, or maybe he's not supposed to be a big villain after all...just a douchey dad. Still hope Sanji kicks his ass though.

Big Mom's rage mode seems more complicated than they expected. This already throws a wrench in the plan. Bege is confidentally breaking ties with Big Mom after seeing Dogtooth's reaction...but what if he's reacting to something else?

All I know is that this situation is going to get worse...might be a good time for the Straw Hats to escape before any new members get killed off. *sweats*

My Hero Academia: Oh god, my heart

That was brutal. I want to hug that child so bad. Aizawa was right...even if Deku could have done more, he finally let Eri feel something other than despair. They better save her fast!

I wonder what Nighteye's issue over his power is exactly. He said it was because he didn't want ot use their trump card, but there seems to be something else there. Is he scarred over finding out about All Might? Also...if he can only use the power once a day, does that mean he kind of wasted it on Deku earlier? Or was that a different type of foresight? *sizzles in confusion*

Looking forward to the plan starting soon. Save that cute girl!

Shokugeki: And the winner is...

Still not declared. Pretty obvious it's Souma, these cliffhangers are annoying.

Still, it was pretty clever how he basically created insant yakisoba using a wok. That guy is crazy clever.

Hopefully we move on to Isshiki and Megishima's fights next...I'm worried they'll be off-panelled for being non-Souma fights.

Fujoshi are scary.

Yay! finally had free time to read.

One Piece:

I really like the djinn devil fruit power that one guy had... or the mochi devil fruit... I didn't read it clearly enough I guess. Anyways, the dude himself is a jerk so that's another reason I want Sanji to take the win. I CAN'T beleive I'm saying this... I feel bad for Pudding. I didn't feel like saying it last time, but really it really is sad state of affairs she's in. Both in family and society. For escapism, acting and extreme violence to be your coping mechanisms all this time... Sanji's words have to had stung her. I'm glad Oda didn't make it so simple for her to not want to kill Sanji anymore (but seriously Pudding should stop...) because now she's forcing herself to spout the plan, that already failed because of Sanji's reaction, in order to lie herself. Also she migh be afraid of the fact that Sanji wans o pull one over her and that little opening that was made could just be another gaeway for her pain.

Brook = M.V.P. in every chapter he's in.

I kind of expected Judge to cry... just not, y' know... cry. I mean actually cry. Wow. Like, he is defintely the weakest willed Vinsmoke, based on his experiments on his own children and willingness to sacrifce others. He was planning to screw Big Mom himself. Now he's acting as if their is supposed to be honor among theives. Not exactly suprised considering this was his scummy life's work, but still... (Also how are you are trying to figure out why your sons have no emotions despite being not only a scientists, but the scientists that caused this is beyond me...)

Bege is too funny.

Boku No Hero:

I REALLY feel bad for Sir Nighteye and at the same time admire his dedication. To be THAT afraid to use your own quirk, but still devote yourself to being a hero is tough. Obviously, I don't agree with his approach and favor All Might's, but I do understand where he is coming from. Hopefully we see some growth with his character. Maybe not this arc, but down the line.

I'll... I'll follow you forever Eraserhead! I could not express it better. Honestly, this guy has been a spetacular teacher. Being able to admonish and encourage your students like that, not just in this conversation with Deku, but throughout the entire series, has been great.

The connection the made with Deku's hand is great (though I may be overthinking it). The hand full of scars that represents his character so much. The willingness to risk himself, but with the same hand give others hope through kindness is such  a great thing to build upon. This arc is getting better and better, and I hope that we see Deku take what he's learned so far into this mission. Overhaul is competing with Judge for father of the year.

Jitsu Wa Watshi Wa:

I really hope this doesn't end. So much comedy and serious narrative mixed with real frustrations of romance has never been so great. I think this is my favorite romance comedy manga of all time. ( I haven't read many romance comedy manga... but I stand by what I said). I feel the anime didn't do the manga justice. It's VERY unfair for me to say that because honestly it was pretty faithful context-wise and the artsyle was good, but it really felt like a mismatch in how it feels. I dunno... Please don't end.

The Promised Neverland:

Best chapter of the week. At the end of the day, I'm able to understand how messed up she is. Honestly doesn't justify her actions, but it really is a sad state of affairs. Honestly its hard to describe how I feel about this chapter. It's painfully conflicting. I'm still trying to get my thoughts compiled on this one.

Agreed...I feel the same way. I've disliked Isabella for so long, it's hard to flip the switch back. I definitely sympathize with her....but I don't really agree with her decision to let children go to their death so she could live as long as possible. At least she finally gave her support to the gang. I wonder if she'll return in the next arc(s) somehow.

Also...that Ray twist. Was that your idea, or did sometone else tell me that? It was great anyway.

I like your thoughts on MHA too...especially about Nighteye.

Lol, I would like to take credit for it, but I can't quite recall actually saying that here. The story was early on leaning toward Ray, but it sometimes felt like the relationship with Emma was stronger.

Honestly I didn't want to think about that part when I was reading. It makes me look back at the moment where she thought way was burning and was most concerned with his brain. And there relationship was sooooo businesslike too. Shirai is too good of a mangaka. It takes me years normally to agonize this much over characters and the morals of it. This was done within this manga's first arc.

Thanks for that! I really hope Horikoshi delves into his character more along the way too. He's been doing great in regards to character with him so far, but I my mind's really stuck on them saving Overhaul's daughter now! (Also as I'm typing this, I have a REALLY bad feeling that the League is going to swoop in last second and take her).

Beastars is really good.  I almost didn't click on it because of the name but it's surprisingly deep and mature.

It's about a school in a world of anthropomorphic animals.  Predators live side by side with herbivores but it's a very uneasy situation with a fair amount of descrimination and prejudice.

The story starts with the murder of a herbivore drama club member, throwing the school into turmoil.  This impacts the main character, a wolf and fellow drama club member, who lives his life trying to escape notice.  He is burdened by the way he is looked at by society and by the knowledge of the predator instincts inside him.

There are other characters with personality problems, as well, who react to the pressures of prejudice in different--and sometimes extreme--ways.  There is some violence and sexuality.  Looks like 16 chapters have been released.

Perhaps the greatest super hero manga ever written.

Wow, that manga looks like a lot of fun to read. What is that one called?

That was drawn by Sakurako from the great YuruYuri.  Let's just say that it's the opposite of the way things really are.

YuruYuri, in addition to being one of my favorite anime ever, is also highly enjoyable in manga form.  It's one of those situations where the voice work in the anime is so perfect that I hear those voices when I read the manga, thus making it even better.

Ah, I see, a comic within a comic. That's pretty funny~ That artstyle and writing are just... top notch XD

I've heard good things about that manga/anime. It looks pretty funny as both too. I'd like to give that one a read at some point in time. As for the anime, I'll have an opening soon after I catch up on Boku No Hero Academia, so I could watch the anime version too.
