Forums - Nintendo - "Alleged" photo of NX controller "leaked": We might as well discuss this now

Looks like the analogue sticks aren't capable if moving lol. Would have a pretty expensive fake otherwise

That's was i said earlier. It looks like one static piece. There is no way those sticks could move. Unless it's similar to the PSP stick.

Well apparently the guy has said the joysticks have force feedback. So maybe that might explain why they don't look like normal analog sticks. I dunno. Could be fake too. Would need to see more photos or better yet a video.

How can you tell if the analog sticks can move or not from a static photo though?

Because I have two eyes and know how an analog stick looks like.

If it's a force feedback joystick it would make sense if it looked different.

I think that we need to try it ourselves to reserve judgement, it's very possible that it'll work. Something like this must have gone through a lot of testing. I agree that replacing buttons is not something that should be done, but we should reserve judgement.

Zoom in with "crtl+" I don't think gap is the right word, but you can see where it slides under. A small little space.

Also why do you keep calling it a controller, when by design. It seems more like a handheld aspect. You also mention that you seem to know for fact that it will succeed. Do you have insider info? But you show doubt with "unless this is real" or something like that. How do you know this controller will fail? How do you know that it's not a handheld? I may have missed it, but I haven't seen you address these.

I have enough faith in my skills in deductive reasoning to not have to withold judgement. I have used a touch screen before. I have used a device with haptic feedback before. I know what this tech is. I know how it works. I will never come anywhere close to replacing the sensation or responsiveness of a real button.

Dude, I'm starting at it. There is no gap.

I'm calling it a controller because it's obviously based off the patant that was specifically for a controler, not a console unit. It's a controller.

I don't have insider knowledge. I just have a brain, a lot of research, a big ego, and an even bigger mouth. Stick around. You'll come to understand me soon enough.

Although I'm pretty confident the NX controller will have a full touch screen as shown and will lack some buttons ( No Dpad+ 2 less face buttons). Dpad is mostly useless and a touch screen is infinitely more useful in (99% of games). There will of course be an optional classic controller option too but I think the main control controller will burrow it's form factor from the controller Nintendo revealed for Pokken but more square in regard to the face plate.

o

I don't know how that would fit with analog sticks, but this would be a dream.

Part of me kinda hopes it real so Nintendo just stop with the freaking secrecy and unveil the thing properly. If this is the pad, then they kinda deserve to have it leak like this, they allowed this whole thing to go on way too long (a full year without any information whatsoever).

No way that's real. It doesn't follow any design cues from Nintendo.

Call it a day folks, this is bull shit.

Neither did the Wiimote before it was announced.

The groove that should exist between the ball of the analogue stick and the surrounding casing is non existent. There is no indent visible, it appears to be one piece of plastic.

I'd rather the NX be delayed four more years than have this thing be confirmed as real.
