Forums - Gaming - Anyone from Kenya who can speak on the huge gaming scene (edit) there.

Steams download stats show that SA is the biggest market in Africa, even bigger than Maghreb countries [North Africa] combined. Namibia has more traffic than Kenya as well, as does most of the North. The big shocker/disappointment is Nigeria. On paper it should be the largest market by far and its barely got twice the activity of Zambia (170 million vs 14 million people). Piracy is obviously a factor but still.

The SA gaming scene is pretty big though, the rAge expo says it all:

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

I hear MineSweeper is pretty popular

You have no freaking idea how hard of a high five you earned with that comment.

I never thought that Africa would have a gaming market let alone a "huge" one! Glad to see some development in that area! Hopefully we can give them some consoles lol

Not sure about Kenya, but I have relatives in Tanzania which is next door. I heard from my dad and aunties that there are lotsof guys buying the ps4 there in our family.
