I don't care if I ever see Superman again. Actually, strike that, I have no intentions of ever watching a Superman film again. He's a piece of cardboard and I feel no empathy with him whatsoever. Batman, while a much, much better character, is also similar to cardboard. He also has MUCH better opponents who often supply the personality for him.

Personality being the key reason I mostly prefer Marvel over DC's dual poster heros. Give me Spiderman and Iron Man, with all their quirks and flaws, any day of the week.

You mean Iron Man from the movies, right? Because he's not like that in the comics.

Marvel. DC doesn't try to world build. Or just has really bad luck at picking writers. So they can't world build. When the movie bombs. Marvel links everything else. That they legally can. Which is a really annoying factor to Marvel. And DC could easily be capitalizing on it. But more times. DC movies have screwed up.

When it comes to movies, I think Marvel movies are really overated. They are great ''candy'' or ''fast food'' movies that aim for the lowest common denominator. But they are not great movies imo (with exceptions). Avengers was just an action fest with close to no story (altho really entertaining

I hate this response. There is a simple reason and point to why Avengers has no "story". The story was built up in all the past freaking films. Excluding Hawkeye. Everyone else, and Loki were setup before. Avengers had like 12 hours of story building behind it. What else did it need to be explained. That wasn't already done before hand? And you're talking to a fan who didn't watch any Cap movies or Thor movies. Because I don't care for the characters (don't hate them). I had no problems following the film. Or anything Loki really did.

You can complain about certain Deus Ex elements. But not the story. It be like bitching when Thanos finally gets used in a full movie. And then saying they didn't explain his glove powers. Completly ignoring Guardians and other movie bits info.

The Avengers film is basically the season finale of a TV show. If you picture the other films being episodes. Imagine if X-Files explained the entire seasons build up, in finale. It be hours long. And what would be the point of watching all that stuff before hand? You wanted the first Avengers film to be a clip show or something?

The fact that Loki appeared out of nowhere felt rushed. And how about they explain how Thor came back from Asgard? The whole point of Thor's ending was the drama linked to the fact that he will never be able to come back to earth again. Then the next time we see him, they demolish that by just making him appear out of nowhere because magic. They pulled the same crap for Capt2 and Avengers2. The whole point of Capt2' ending was that the status quo was gone and that shield got destroyed. Then Avengers2 begins and the whole team is together like nothing happen and worst, Nick Fury comes out pulling that big flying ship and a whole shield crew out of no where completly demolishing the setting made by Capt2.

And you do have a point. But still, the movie is weak on story, the fact that most have been explained before hand does'nt change that fact. It is still enjoyable, and you are right that it did'nt NEED to be heavy on story for the reasons you mentioned.

Those comic-con trailers have a 5 months head start on the most watched Marvel trailer.  The Spidey trailer has 29 million hits in about a day.

And now it's at 30M in more than 2 days. Diminishing returns.

Thirty one and a half actually.

Not sure what your point is.  Of course it's not going to get 29 million hits a day for all of eternity.  But, there's a good chance it will hit 60 million over the next 5 months.

Although both Superman and Batman make up for DC's universe as two of the most iconic superheroes overall.

I'm still going with Marvel because of the diversity of heroes-villains/stories/factions compared to the DC universe.

The MCU is well-known for its disappointig villains. Only Loki stands out as different but he's also a comic relief now. And how are the Marvel heroes more diverse than the DCU's? Seems like you're just being biased there.

Marvel has the best live action movies (cap 3 is going to be amazing) while DC has the best t.v. shows, animated series and movies.

I love both but DC has been growing on me lately because of their t.v. shows (flash, arrow, supergirl), their animated movies (flashpoint paradox) and their animated series (young justice)

I agree with what Mike-San stated 100%. For me, for whatever reason, the Ultimate Spiderman, Marvel's Agents of S.M.A.S.H., and Guardians of the Galaxy have not been as entertaining as Young Justice or some of DC's other animated series. In addition, outside the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and DareDevil, I am not as gravitated towards their other works as some.

Now, does this mean Marvel creates inferior animated series or movies? No. If anything, I believe both are great. I am just more captivated towards the DC animation than I am Marvel's at this point and time. Ultimatley, though, you cannot go wrong with either.

Nah.  Marvel absolutely makes worse animated series.  As much as I like Marvel better than DC, this is undebateable, unless you're 12 or under.

The sad thing is that Marvel is perfectly capable of producing quality animated series.  Earth's Mightiest Heroes was a great show, and Spectacular Spider-man was one of the best animated super hero shows ever... and both got cancelled.  And replaced by Family Guy Spider-man and Avengers Assemble.

As for TV, it's hard to say.  DC has had a bigger TV presence for decades really.  Even going back to the 60's Batman show, Lois and Clark, Smallville, and so on.  Marvel's TV division only really got serious with Agents of Shield (which was kind of meh) and their Netflix shows (which have been awesome).

I grew up with several DC animated series, so I've always had a soft spot for them based on that. I do like how connected the Marvel universe is, and the recent movies have mostly been fantastic. For DC, the Dark Knight Trilogy are some of my favorite superhero movies ever...but that's about it when comes to DC films.

They're both great for different reasons, but I lean with DC due to nostalgia.

I'm gonna say cap 3 is building on the awesome movies (cap2, Avengers 2, antman, iron man) that came before and BvsS is building on Man of Steel which was a really dark and gritty average movie making audiences way more split making them less interested in BvsS.. And they spoiled everyting in the second trailer so you don't need to watch this final one

That second trailer has me thinking of not going to the movies and find easier ways to watch it. Seriously why would they do that?

How bad was Age of Ultron though? That movie was terrible. And the Thor movies. And Iron 2 and 3. And the First Cap movie. And The Incredible Hulk.

Also, Supergirl is garbage compared to Arrow and Flash.

1st Thor and Cap movies weren't terrible. Marvel also has Jessica Jones which was good and Daredevil which was very good. Upcoming Punisher too which looks like its going to be a hit.

I watch Arrow and Flash. Like Arrow and love Flash. Arrow was much better in the 1st couple of seasons imo.
