I agree with what Mike-San stated 100%. For me, for whatever reason, the Ultimate Spiderman, Marvel's Agents of S.M.A.S.H., and Guardians of the Galaxy have not been as entertaining as Young Justice or some of DC's other animated series. In addition, outside the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and DareDevil, I am not as gravitated towards their other works as some.
Now, does this mean Marvel creates inferior animated series or movies? No. If anything, I believe both are great. I am just more captivated towards the DC animation than I am Marvel's at this point and time. Ultimatley, though, you cannot go wrong with either. |
Nah. Marvel absolutely makes worse animated series. As much as I like Marvel better than DC, this is undebateable, unless you're 12 or under.
The sad thing is that Marvel is perfectly capable of producing quality animated series. Earth's Mightiest Heroes was a great show, and Spectacular Spider-man was one of the best animated super hero shows ever... and both got cancelled. And replaced by Family Guy Spider-man and Avengers Assemble.
As for TV, it's hard to say. DC has had a bigger TV presence for decades really. Even going back to the 60's Batman show, Lois and Clark, Smallville, and so on. Marvel's TV division only really got serious with Agents of Shield (which was kind of meh) and their Netflix shows (which have been awesome).
