Well it's clear the game isn't for you two and tbh the game doesn't have to have graphics busting at the seams in order to look or play good.

I could do with making an official thread as the modding community with SDV seems to be growing by the day. THat and Day 9 should have some new gameplay up by Fri evening.

It's not about quality but design. The original Harvest Moon on SNES still looks awesome despite having much worse graphics. This game's art couldn't be more generic if it tried.

I really want to play it because I'm a Harvest Moon addict but the screenshots always keep me from pressing the purchase button.

Quality is always going to be a subjective topic though. I love both the original HM games and SDV, the only tiny part of the game that I would change would be the character portait sprites and luckily we have mods for those, so far we have mods to even replace some animals as well.
