Screw you, UN. Do something useful for once.

the funny thing is they have Saudi Arabia in the Human Rights council right now

Yeah, and that is why i consider the UN a farce that should be shut down.

why should it close down? They should just refocus on usefull stuff

The UN should have something better to do than adressing these cultural matters. But the UN only dares to criticise developed countries like the Netherlands and Japan, while countries like Saudi Arabia have a free pass when they violate every right a women's should have.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

They're not even doing a good job at that.

I'm having a really hard time coming up with any situation where censorship in fiction is OK. There's no logic in this kind of censorship, the reasoning is pretty much 'just because'.

I won't believe UN is in good faith until they urge fighting real violence against real women first, urging countries where it happens more to fight it more effectively, and countries where women haven't the same rights of men to concede them, countries that still allow or de facto tolerate female genital mutilations to ban them and enforce the ban, and countries where women can be stoned to death for trying to be sexually free to stop immediately killing them.

As I said ban rape in movies and books in western countries first, show your real commitment UN!

Opposing the niche country, with its niche platform, and its niche genre isn't the way to go to reduce sexual violence.

The UN is a joke. Saudi Arabia is head of the human rights council.

So, would these sensitive liberals ban a book that has a rape scene in order to speak out against rape? What's with all this baby-proofing? Is it for the ridiculous idea called a 'safe zone'? Well guess what? Your home is the closest option to a safe zone. Besides that, it's an imaginary concept. Earth is not a safe place. It's dangerous, no matter how hard you try to fix this.

We can't keep censoring everything. it's annoying. I mean, letting all guy characters be buff(and rarely fat) is aOK, but a woman with big boobs? OH NO! WE JUST CAN'T LET PEOPLE SEE THAT!

Maybe the women from the UN committee are just jealous they're as flat as the soda from McD's. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
