Choose wisely!

Street Fighter V (PS4) 145 43.15%

Rise of the Tomb Raider (X1) 191 56.85%

Total:336

It's a good thing SFV has underperformed badly. It tells the game industry (or at least Capcom) that they can't shove out incomplete products and the gamers will still buy it at full price. ROTTR is a better and complete product and deserves to sell better.

CD made a good product and it deserves to sell well and be profitable. Did they make a good / smart deal to go timed exclusive with XB one? IMO no they made a financially bad decision because I think the deal will cost them more than what they gained, but no one other than Se and CD can really know, and even they can only guess at the cost/benefit. But they made a good game and unlike Capcom they didn't take gamers for granted, albeit their PR "let them eat cake" crappiness in the early months after the exclusivity announcement certainly alienated a lot of gamers.

Nope... there are people that may not buy it because it's already outdated being 1 year later to the market and to make it worse, several months after people got their Uncharted fix.

Outdated? Its still gonna be a great game this holiday and frankly its not the same experience as Uncharted.

You know what's funny, we see people boasting about how great Tomb Raider DE did on PS4 even though that was a remaster of 7th gen game. We also see people saying RotTR won't do great because its a year late.

Based on trends, I think RotTR is gonna do fine on PS4. In fact, I'm gonna make another thread...

First 10 Weeks Sales: SFV (PS4) -VS- RotTR (PS4)

You say with a straight face that the one year gap won't affect the sales and a portion of the users won't buy it full price because they will consider it a year old product? For real?

TR is going to sell very well on PS4. People are confusing their own bitterness or bitterness they read from people on the Internets with how the general public will react to the game.

I don't see any reason why TR couldn't archieve at the very least another million on PS4,

When it could have achieved 4-5 Millions Last Year.

Do you think RotTR on ps4 will sell more than the x1 version?

I would have bought it last year personally but since I've played uncharted 4,  the game of the gen so far,  I'm no longer motivated by a more constraint adventure experience.

There are much bigger titles releasing the last quarter that have my attention much more than a year old port.

It could, but also it could not archieve this numbers. with the actual installed base, and all the competition, it doesn't seem very likely to me. 2.5-3m seems more realistic to me.

I just put out a Random number, we don't know how much it would sell last year,  or if the game will sell more or less this year than previous.

We will never know that.

Tomb Raider would sell more last year because the game would sell to Uncharted fans, but now they will purchase Uncharted 4 instead.

Last year we don't had Big Exclusives launching for PS4 in the Holidays, the last Biggest to launch was Until Dawn in September.

Now we already have Confirmed Gran Turismo Sports for November 19TH (i think that this was the release date they announce some minutes ago) this Alone already is enought to take the ground away from Tomb Raider, and we still have E3 where they will show more games and maybe more games will release during Holidays, like The Last Guardian, Horizon, or something we still don't know

Exactly,  plus I'll be buying battlefield 1 along with its premium and the new legacy cod edition for cod4. There is no room in my schedule this year but last year with uncharted 4 delayed there was.  It's an inferior game too so that doesn't help.

They messed up so bad. I'll either get it for $10 on sale in a few years or on ps plus like I did with tomb raider 2013
