For me it's one game every two month or so. I'm trying to reduce my backlog of games.
When there's something I want.
I bought Zelda, Gravity Rush, SFV, and Walking Dead Michonne this week. Before that, I don't know when the last time I bought a grame was. If there's 10 games I want, I'll buy 10 games in a month. If there's nothing I want, I don't buy anything. I used to force myself to buy games I didn't care about. Thank God, I've outgrown that!
Usually its once every few months, unless there are games that I want to get.

One or two games a month usually. For instance, this year so far has been:
January: Resident Evil Origins Collection
February: Fire Emblem Fates, Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth, Pokemon Blue
March: Twilight Princess HD, (upcoming) Pokken Tournament
In the near future:
April: Ratchet & Clank, Star Fox Zero
May: Uncharted 4 maybe? can't think of anything else I'd even remotely want
June: Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE
Once I started working, and no lifing college, I don't buy much anymore.
I pretty much save a decent amount for Black Friday and spend then.

Depends.
PC about 20-50 a year depending on sales, but I normally only play like 3 of them.
Mobile, probably 60-100 a year.
Handheld, probably 10-15 a year. Maybe more, I have already bought 6 3DS games this year, and if you include FE as three games, that number will be 10 soon.
Home console, 1-3 per year. Last year Xenoblade was the only game I bought, this year nothing until likely next fall. Unless you consider Playstation Classics and Virtual Console, I probably got 10 total last year if you consider those, and I will probably get 10 this year including those.
So total, about 150-180 games per year.
Voted a few times a week.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
I don't know...there are new games every week. Some times one or two games a week, some times one game every month or so. I think it's weird when people ONLY buy the big AAA games, and SOMEHOW, manage to play them constantly. Doesn't it get boring playing CoD all year round?
Then again, I pretty much ONLY game on my PS4. Not really a PC guy.
