Sony likely compensated Capcom for lost sales due to exclusivity. Sony funded this game (or helped in a significant way), they took the risk other going exclusive isnt worthwhile.

If anything, the modest opening might encourage a new release on more platforms. I hope that next game is Street Fighter Alpha 4.

I didn't think Xbox was the hottest platform for fighters...

I know I never felt like the dpad or face buttons were suited to it on my 360.

I honestly think the sales difference would be marginal.

What's the point of even doing a Alpha 4? Capcom already did that with SFIV as it takes place in between SFII and SFIII.

This game had an unusual air about it prior to its launch. I felt like it should've been way more hyped than it was, but I guess with the way it released, it's understandable why it wasn't. I still expect this to sell well over time, but man, what a disastrous launch (relative to the scope of the series, of course).
