Forums - Gaming - Street Fighter V did not chart in EU PS Store

Good. They shouldn't be rewarded for splatooning this game.

Good. In terms of content it's a $30-$40 Early Access game, not a $60 full release.

Its a real shame. Capcom have gone so downhill.

Capcom has monster hunter and resident evil. They aren't getting bought quite yet.

As for SFV, they got what they sowed. You make a half assed game, you get half assed sales. Next time try to release a complete game and people might care. If the game had 10 more characters and the story mode and arcade mode in there it would've sold in the millions. Bad on Capcom for thinking the fighting community is more important than release a complete product. They should've sticked to Ultra for another year and delivered a title that would sweep us off our feet this fall.

Im not sure Resident Evil is very strong at this point...

Just last year a port of the remake sold more than a million. I'm sure revelations 2 did well aswell... and theres the remake of 2 coming up. It will sell like hot cakes.

I would be surprised if it reaches 2 million sold tbh.

.......no

I think the OP is jumping to conclusions. The game had an okay opening. I'm guessing around 360K physical opening.

Sony likely compensated Capcom for lost sales due to exclusivity. Sony funded this game (or helped in a significant way), they took the risk other going exclusive isnt worthwhile.

If anything, the modest opening might encourage a new release on more platforms. I hope that next game is Street Fighter Alpha 4.

While I'm sure Capcom isn't that happy with the games performace, Sony funded the whole thing last I checked so it probably won't impact their financials that much.

Thing is though, I have to imagine that abandoning the Xbox audience probably didn't do them any favors in this regard.
