Forums - Gaming - Street Fighter V did not chart in EU PS Store

Street Fighter V did not appear on the February digital sales chart for PSN in Europe, on top of this it charted below Naruto in the U.S.A. At number 5.

I personally believe, given Capcoms financial situation this will result in no more fighting games for the next few years. In the longer term I also speculate capcom will be acquired by Sony.

What at are your thoughts? Did you buy the game? Is it unfortunate or just deserts?

I really am unable to feel any form of sympathy for Capcom anymore...

I prefer capcom will be acquired by Nintendo. They can fix Megaman, Resident evil and Street Fighter. MH is sucessful on Nintendo

It's Capcom's fault for releasing a content-lite game, which is a shame because the gameplay mechanics are fantastic. Honestly, they should have waited until the game was complete before even thinking of releasing it. It doesn't matter that most of the missing content will be added through free updates. The damage has already been done.

Whoops my bad already posted spot in USA

How the mighty have fallen... I remember playing Street Fighter religiously on the ps1 and 2. It's actually a real shame. Whomever buys capcom, please use the IP's properly.

It just wasn't hyped. People know what to expect and what was given was an unfinished game. Sales might improve as the other content is added but man, SFV isn't doing too well right now. Now's the time to bring out your other top selling IP Capcom, give Mega Man a new reboot that isn't a 8-bit, 8 month development game!

Street Fighter 2 is still king!

Capcom has monster hunter and resident evil. They aren't getting bought quite yet.

As for SFV, they got what they sowed. You make a half assed game, you get half assed sales. Next time try to release a complete game and people might care. If the game had 10 more characters and the story mode and arcade mode in there it would've sold in the millions. Bad on Capcom for thinking the fighting community is more important than release a complete product. They should've sticked to Ultra for another year and delivered a title that would sweep us off our feet this fall.

Im not sure Resident Evil is very strong at this point...
