I couldnt finish it, i bought it for the 3ds and just felt it was not ment to by played that way. It was my first time playing it but i didnt enjoy it at all.
It pales in comparison to the first time I have played Final Fantasy VII but it is still a masterpiece, yes.
I don't think anything will impress me the way FFVII has back in '97 ever again.
Only The Last of Us has come close recently...but only "close."

...still don't get it. Although, I'll say that the few moments I played in the 3DS were far more enjoyable than the 5 hours I played in N64 version.
I'm now filled with determination.
I really wish Nintendo would put those 3DS remasters on Wii U. I really really want to play those games again in their best form.

I'll never understand the problems people apparently have (or had and will have) with the Water Temple. |
I think raising and lowering the water just got old for me and I kept picking it up trying to play again forgetting what to do. Basically, the process of raising and lowering the water numerous times just pissed me off.

You only need to do that three times; once at each plaque. It's actually a pretty linear dungeon.

Ah well it was probably my fault of picking the game up, stopping and then trying again a couple times and then eventually giving up. Perhaps I'll try to play the game again and have the will power to stick with it till the end instead of moving on to another game.

Well you're not the only one, rest assured, I remember reading somewhere right about when OoT3D was releasing where Miyamoto mentioned, probably in the Iwata Asks but I'm not sure, that 7 out of 10 people could not finish the Water Temple. I'm not overtly smart or am I saying I think it's "super-easy" or anything, but I guess it just always suited me. My cousin also always wanted me to finish it.
The Master Quest version of the dungeon is actually easier though, because you can skip half the dungeon (but if I remember correctly does need more water level changes).
