Can anyone outside of fanboys come here and say that smbu is reasonable? Its pathetic how no matter what positive PS3 news there is, he has to try and bash it. Get over it, the 360 failed.
In NA, bigger games, cost is between $120-$50 less than the PS3, yet its still losing. In Europe, its high end model is cheaper than the cheapest PS3 and its low end model is cheaper than the Wii, yet it loses the week after a price drop.
Pull the Wii out of your ass all you want, the fact still remains that no 3rd party games even matter on the console. It still doesn't change the reason for this whole "console war" for many people. Bigger games are on the PS3. It may not sell more consoles, but it still will have the best experience by the generations end.
The PS3 has found solid ground on a console that is now failing, the 360. That is its only competition as far as the gaming market, gaming, and the console of choice for the most popular games. The PS3 will win this generation, and the Wii may or may not be keeping it company at the top. All that matters is how well the Wii can keep ITS market momentum up. As far as replacing the PS2 everywhere outside of Japan, the PS3 looks to be situating itself to be the console of choice for gamers from 2008 onward.
