This is Pokemon we're talking about, for them to move platforms would be an extremely disastrous move if you ask me.

I mean, maybe they know that NX is backwards compatible so as most of people played BW/B2W2 on 3DS they think that most of people will play Sun/Moon on NX handheld...

Pokemon Sun and Moon wont be remade for NX unless a lazy port is made, but again that just sounds stupid.

WHAT could happen is that Pokemon Z is coming to NX, but again why spend resources doing two different mainline games (unless it has something to do with no pokemon game last year?).

Perhaps Activision thought it was a mainline pokemon game while it is simply a spin off of some kind.
