Tbh Jweincom just hit the nail on the head.
I am pretty sure they mean the helicopter segments where you move a hanging robot in a mini game fashion.
I do hope it is limited to such instances and means I can play the main levels with normal controls.

If you want a game without motion controls, make it yourself. Easy as that. It's Nintendo's game. They wanted to make the gamepad and motion controls part of the core experience. That's the game they wanted to make. Not convinced? Then don't buy it, but stop claiming how the game should and not should be played. You guys are no one to talk about that. Absolutely, no one.

I'm still in. I figured it would be like Starfox 64 3D where there was an option to turn it off but, like Gravity Rush on PS4, it might actually be a big plus. I'll find out for myself.
Probably this obligatory motion controls could be the angle inclination from the airship wings' rotation, just like that section in Venom in the SF64 where you have to stay on the vertical position chasing that robot that make that pillar invocation. This time they could have improved this, by making you use a specific angle inclination from the rotation, not just the Vertical/horizontal position from previous games. Nothing that I would be worrying about, but obviously people like to jump the gun when they see the word "motion" followed by "control" and then "obligatory", they think it will become a Just Dance game.

So, another lie.

To be fair, this overwhelming air of negativity started at E3 2015, and we have to agree they had a terrible showing there. Personally, I've been very disappointed with Nintendo recently and have not been impressed or excited by a single game announced after E3 2014 (except a remake and a game that was teased long before that). However, I'm very excited for Star Fox Zero and couldn't care less that you can't completely turn off the motion controls (given that it was clear from day one that they were fundamental to the experience). |
No, it started when Zelda was delayed in Feb, and has been ridiculous until now, I mean, there is no need to turn every personal dissapointment or fear into an endless shitstorm
