Forums - Nintendo - Motion controls "cannot be entirely disabled" in Starfox Zero

It's not damn if you do, damned if you don't. The gamepad functionality in Zero is stupid. People wouldn't have minded if they did something else with it but gyroscopic fucking aiming is terrible.

It works perfectly on Splatoon, that game you didnt played. Why is not gonna work fine here? It would be already ok if they were identical.

I did play it. Stop lying about shit you don't know. The motion is shit in that game, and over 40% of splatoon players play with motion off. If you have to dedicate a button to fix your controls, your controls are bad. If you're aiming reticul moves around, it's unreliable, and that's bad controls. I didn't buy it because it's not a good game. I know that because I played it extensively. Solid foundation. Terrible execution.

Well, okay then. I'll give the motion controls a shot. If you work with something long enough, you'll adjust.

No, offical data says 80% of people use it, and every single person that takes the game seriously use it. I heard and read tons of people saying that they though they were going to play without them but they end up loving them because makes the game so much easy to play. The vast majority of people is using it for some reason, ask them. Maybe you just played like 1 hour? They are very weird at first, but then it becomes like breathing.

Um excuse me guys, do I not exist!?  Although I guess I'm not that serious, atleast not anymore, but I'm still pretty damn good.

The game is pretty much designed to play with motion controls, so I thought that would be the case. If they're well implemented, I don't really mind. I still use motion controls in Splatoon for aiming and it's way, way more faster and comfortable to me.

Really, I think motion controls haters must really try hard on use them. I mean, I really started playing Splatoon with motion controls off, but then I changed and started to play with motion controls on. Man, it was a completely different experience. Easier to aim, faster, I killed more, I painted more. I mean, it's a completely new and better experience. Just give them a proper try, try to dig them, work hard on it, and I think you'll enjoy them. Or not. But I really think some people haven't even tried properly. Not all of you, of course.

My god Nintendo fans are a bunch of whiny fucks.

I for one am very happy about this. If they make a game that can be played without motion controls, that probably means that the motion controls are a novelty add on that doesn't add much to the experience. If they want to make a game that uses motion controls in anything beyond the most basic capacity, then it probably won't be able to be played properly without them.

Seems that Nintendo fans just want a string of sequels that play the same as the last game. My Paper Mario doesn't have partners. My Metroid doesn't have Samus. My Star Fox doesn't control the same way it did two decades ago. Wah wah wah. How dare Nintendo try do do something different.

People bitching that Nintendo doesn't listen to their fans? Well they probably shouldn't, because most of their fans are egocentric little bitches who don't realize that their favorite franchise is not made just for them.

A little off topic, but the amount of whining has reached intolerable levels. I almost can't wait for the inevitable shitstorm that is going to come when the NX is not another version of PS4...

Seriously. I almost even dread going online after any Nintendo Direct now because I know the whine brigade is going to let everyone know why no one should like so and so game. It almost drowns out any positive thoughts on the matter.

As a big Nintendo fan myself, I share this thought. People should stop demanding the same over and over again and stop whining over everything.
