What was your reaction to It?

Looks like combat is based off the Sticker Star variety... but now with cards! Totally different guys!

I'll buy the game solely based off its predecessors, but goddamn... this is not what I wanted.

Nice way to show Nintendo your disappointment

Good point on that. SPM is still a very good game even if it is not a traditional PM. I think the problem is that SS is so souless that Einsam has the fear that this one has the same problem (and it looks like that). I can't blame him, lately Miyamoto is having more bad ideas than good ones, and if he is again involved...

No, sticker star has way more than one problem, is not broken at its core, thats a lie, and not having the traditionl system didnt stop Super Paper Mario for being a good game.
Again is unlikely that this ends up being a great game after sticker stars, but you are just being too dramatic.

Yes, literally all of it's 100% intentional working as intended mechanics n design choices and the deliberate lack of story are the problem. It's not about what it didn't have, it's about what it did have, a broken system that made not playing the game better than playing it. The idea didn't suddenly become flawed once physical development started, it was flawed before they rendered a single pixel.

You're too invested in hating the game tbh, SS had problems in its execution of the formula it used, to try and say it's impossible is going beyond being rational especially as you're basically arguing with anyone who doesn't hate it like you yourself do.

I'd say defending this game is beyond rational, but fine I'll take a break... for now!

I think the trailer doesn´t show exactely how the gameplay works, I prefer an "wait and see" approach to that.

As for the visuals.... I think they´re gorgeous. Loved them, so far.

Something wrong is happening at Nintendo. Just fire whoever is doing these terrible decisions.

What if that person is still Miyamoto?

Then fire him. He has been doing more bad decisions than good lately.

In this case, it's great, because you won't have any prejudices against it. I'm a Paper Mario fan, and I felt bad watching it. So I'm trying really hard to be a reasonable person and give it a chance because we don't really know nothing about it. I'm trying. Tomorrow I'll be more reasonable about it. The same happened to me with Federation Force, when I quitted Internet for a day, the next day I watched gameplays and I kinda liked it.

If I can change my opinion of Tokyo Mirage Sessions, you can do the same for Paper Mario whatever the hell it is. I actually thought it was the best looking game of the Direct outside of TMS#FE lmao.

I also think that, ironically, this will be the best year of the Wii U's life.

Pokken this month.

Ignore next month.

TMS#FE in June.

Paper Mario is probably in September.

Zelda is probably in November.

It's absolutely hilarious that its last years will be this good. Arguably better than 2014.

Star Fox Zero just gets absolutely no love, huh?

I know... I'm ashamed of myself.

Paper Mario is my favorite game series so I'll blindly buy the games. All though, my opinion might change later on. There's still a lot we need don't know about this game, so it could be good.

Nope. Still looks like hot garbage.

From the footage, the areas don't really fit the art style. The art style is just asking for vibrant and lively areas, so I hope the game has that. The combat looks even worse than Sticker Star from what the trailer shows, and I didn't see any partners. There's also a world map, which is sort of the same as how the worlds are connected by Pipes and other things in The Thousand Year Door, but it's a lot less immersive. It's impossible to tell if the story will be as good as the older ones, so I can't say anything there.

I don't really mind Paper Mario breaking away from copy and pasting the older games, but what they should have done with this game is what The Thousand Year Door did to Paper Mario 64, and not take away the elements that made Paper Mario popular in the first place. Switching the combat in Paper Mario is almost like taking swords out of Zelda.

Can't wait for The Zelder Scrolls 3: Breath of The Wild Hunt!
