I agree with you. E3 will be all about NX. At best they will say Zelda HD will still release on the Wii U, and after many months will be canned in a quiet PR because "Wii U can't handled the complete experience and we don't want to release bad games, blah bla blah".

I'm 100% sure that's false. The Wii U actually has games coming out this holiday.

People are really holding onto the idea that a 2016 NX release is imminent. I still can't see that happening and really there's no evidence that it will actually happen outside of how people FEEEEEEL.

My conservative opinion of what E3 will be in the next two years
E3 2016 - Similar to 2005 (introduction of the revolution)... the idea of NX introduced. Show what will be possible in Nintendo's next generation of gaming. Then segue into games that are coming up for the Wii U / 3DS this year including Zelda U, Shin Megami/FE, Dragon Quest VII, Metroid Federation, poke moon/sun. They will stress that they are still supporting the current generation and there's a lot to look forward to. There will also be focus on supporting indies.

Nintendo has not revealed yet because they fear their competition copies their idea, and you expect them to announce and wait a year and a half to release?

Honestly, I don't think that's a huge concern for them. Patents are filed to prevent people from blatently ripping off technologies and what not (although admittedly I know very little about patent law in general). I ask you though, when have they ever been concerned about people copying their ideas when it comes to consoles? Like I mentioned previously, Wii/Revolution had a year and half span between announcement and release. The only time they've been concerned about copycats is when it comes to software content (Super Mario Sunshine comes to mind). 

This would be a very odd choice to release in '16 with a full software lineup for both Wii U/3DS. In '17 you'll see game releases slow down quite a bit in preperation for the launch.

The NX is new hardware, and will start from 0. However, the 3DS and Wii U have install bases. Immediately cutting off software for previous hardware upon the release of a new machine is inefficient. Well how about that. Was unawares of that quote (was it mentioned earlier in the thread? I'm lazy I don't read enough)

To play Devil's advocate though that statement makes a lot of sense in regards to the time it was given in 2015. In 2016 however, it'd be a lot tougher for a Microsoft/Sony to quickly incorporate an idea in their ecosystem within a year and a half. I'm still pretty confident in my prediction. I will laugh and say I told you so while the world around us burnsssssss

Other than Zelda U what games does it have for the holiday?

I thought people would atleast read the first sentence. If you actually did read it yet still brought up Zelda U as a pointless counter anyway, well that's even worse. Now are you going to respond to the actual argument, otherwise we should stop spamming irrelevance.

It's time to move on, NX should be the main topic on E3.
