The Wii U is not even 3 and a half years old yet. I'm still kind of hoping Wii U gets some cross gen stuff with NX other than Zelda, like Pikmin 4 , Paper Mario and one or two others maybe. I hope Nintendo fulfil their promise of satisfying Wii U owners, because as good as the software has been I'm still not 100% satisfied with their Wii U output. I love Nintendo, but recently I have been pondering becoming a full time Sony gamer, I'm loving my PS4 at the moment. I know most of you want the Wii U ditched and NX out already, but I haven't the funds to upgrade to new hardware so soon in the Nintendo console cycle, and the longer Sony cycles become more and more appealing.

"Games," so more cross gens than just Zelda, why?

I can't remember if they done region exclusives directs before. I mean there's usually always region exclusive news in it's respective version of the direct, but they're still mostly worldwide content.

Both starfox and zelda should be held back as nx exclusives if it's coming this year, releasing a new console with two major franchises will shift consoles, it's ridiculous how long it took the current gen to get going (ps4/xbone) with a complete lack of exclusive and nothing but remasters being made for a good year and remasters of very recent games at that...

More consoles sold will result in more people wanting one and it will result in more developers wanting to make games for it.

Developers won't nail their flags to the mast of a console that's so slow out the gates, and when you get a new console you want to enjoy the games.

Who wouldn't pre-order an NX shipped with zelda and starfox?!? I know I would, and those two titles would tide me over while other games are made.

Nintendo needs to get to a point where it's hard hitters are released with the new console, not towards the end of its life (Mario kart) or with its dieing breaths (starfox, zelda)

It's not like at this point they will shift consoles, there are plenty of second hand wii u's around for the people waiting on these games, and that's if they weren't interested in Mario 3d world or Mario kart and had already bought the console for those..

Couldn't even read the first sentence of the OP, for shame! As previous E3s have shown, unless you're Zelda or have too many games to be completely ignored, they wont be talked about over the upcoming console.

By where I meant provide a direct quote. This is the part of the Pokemon leak that talks about the Wii U, nothing here about an unannounced title:

Im guessing this based off a stetement Kimishima made once(I think it was he that made it), stating that they would keep supporting Wii U even after the nX release.So i guess what he means is cross gen games.A good candidate for that is pikmin 4, which should be ready by now, and should have a Wii U version for it

Where? Wasn't in their conference. The thread title clearly says I am betting on it, and I'm not against betting with someone. That last sentence is to make it clear that this thread isn't baiting people into making a bet with me. Hell the whole reason I added "I bet" to the title was to make it less click baity.

Oh if only the obvious were actually obvious, then we wouldn't have so many NX threads, among many other things.

I don't think Nintendo has ever supported a console after it's successor released, certainly not with the Gamecube or Wii, so if he did actually say that, he's definitely lying. They can't support two systems as it is, no way they want to try three at once.
