Those sound like some technical problems that can be addressed. Not sure if they will impact a majority of PC gamers though. Sounds like they released a product that is still playable.

Doesn't sound like a Batman:AK level of problems.

Hopefully some of those things get ironed out before KI and other games launch.

Edit: If you look at the reviews it sounds like people are having trouble downloading and booting. But also a lot of people saying it works fine.

People are comparing this to Batman: AK level of problems.  I never added all the problems, as this was originally me asking questions to decide if I should get it. I mean their are problems for AMD, Nvidia, and Intel only users. The one thing this proves, is it's not as easy as people are lead to believe. If porting Xbox One games were so easy this flagship title wouldn't be having so many major issues.

I do hope things get fixed though. It's such a shame I really wanted some competition for Steam, but it's becoming more clear to me that these ports are a cash grab.

People might compare to Batman:AK, but that doesn't mean its equal.

The mods thing isn't a real issue by the way. That's a bonus, not issue.

Porting PC games is definitely not simple, too often we hear about PC ports having issues at launch. Many of them don't have the spotlight of AAA games though.

This is why I own all the consoles and a basic PC. When it comes to gaming, I just want devices that I know work.

This after Tomb Raider being better on Steam than the W10 store is unsettling.

It's not as bad as Batman AK. That was litterally unplayable. I found turning off Ambient Occlusion got rid of the artifacts on screen. The stuttering is still there, but it's not constant.

What graphic card are you using? I'm using crossfire 980ti's which are having major issues reported on the official forums and Nvidia forums. So I'm going to wait for now. It'd probably help others if they knew what you are using.

Bought the game this morning and my god its unbelievable my getting some sort of video lag its like seeing the same game three times yet the multiplayer works fine.

R9 380.

R9 380.

That's interesting. That's suppose to be one of the reported problem cards. I game at 4K which seems to be where the majority of issues are though.

"The Radeon Fury X is incapable of holding a steady frame rate, with multiple multi-second pauses throughout the benchmark run. The same problem struck the 4GB R9 380 and the 4GB R9 Nano as well."

Another benchmark review:

"Moving up to 4K we see AMD's performance drop so far that R9 Fury X's performance at the lowest in-game settings is less than that of Nvidia GTX 980Ti at Maximum game settings.

At this point performance comparison is almost irrelevant, as it is clear that this game is not finished and has not be optimized for AMD hardware yet. Usually we see pretty even performance from AMD's R9 Fury X and Nvidia's reference GTX 980Ti at 4K but in this game Nvidia simply walks all over AMD, but it is not AMD's fault."

It makes you wonder what is going on. Does it differ from card to card?

Hopefully these problems get ironed out. Once crossfire support is added, and these bugs get fixed I will get this game. It's just so dissapointing that Microsoft decided to release the game in this state. I don't think anybody would have noticed a delay. I don't understand why this wasn't delayed.

From what I hear the Windows 10 store is supposed to be pretty garbage anyways, I'm sure it will get better, but I don't see any good reason to buy games on it right now. Which may actually be good news for the Xbox One.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Does this mean there's still a reason to own an Xbox?

And this is why you game on consoles.... sh*t like this dont happend on consoles (okay it does.. but not near anywhere as bad).

Too many PC games are broken messes.

Not many that outweigh the good ones though, consoles are more or less watered down PC's at this point with this gen and they definitely have their share of sutters and other issues.

This is why you don't buy a game that's badly optimized.

OT: well this thread turned into a typical "This is why I don't game on PC, consoles are better" subject real fast.
