Apparently, Quantum Break is far from moving needles.

The game is currently at #141, while the console is at a distant #1645.

Hell, even Resident Evil 6 is on top of Quantum Break at this moment...not good.

It is interesting that the console have not managed to push its exclusives well beyond the "alright" sales numbers. Halo, the once Microsoft behemoth even under performed.

If Quantum Break also underperforms, which apparently will be the case, all the pressure will be on Gears of War 4 shoulders, being the last of the Microsoft "Tri-Force" (Forza, Gears and Halo).

Yeah, the flop train for recent exclusives continues. I'm starting to wonder if even Uncharted will do okay. I mean, I know it won't flop, just seems like the market is shrugging off exclusives these days. Unless it's Nintendo, whose games still do well despite the userbase size.

I would say marketing. Sony and MS have gotten lazy since their hardware and subscriptions pay off everything.

By contrast you see third partys and Nintendo try really hard to get their games to sell, because that is their only sources of revenue lately. They end up selling much better then MS and Sony exclusives. Back in Gen 5 and 6 Sony and MS went full force in marketing.

Well Bloodborne and Until Dawn did quite well. SFV flop seems to be more about the lack of content and bad press than anything else.

You're joking right?  MS and Sony are marketing far more than Nintendo this gen.  And far better.  Sony especially.  The only games to have good marketing from Nintendo were Smash, Kart, Mario Maker, and Splatoon. Others got either no marketing or limited marketing.  And don't get me started on the astounding lack of general Wii U ads.

Don't be ridiculous, MS and Sony marketing budgets go towards 3rd party hardware bundles. You don't see tv ads solely for Until Dawn, Bloodborne, Rare Replay, etc. Sony and MS pay big money for those 3rd party ads like Destiny, Fallout, Division, etc. The last notable 1st party tv ad was The Order 1886 for the super bowl.

You can see Nintendo still exceeds MS and Sony, and most of those ads will be for 1st party unlike Sony and MS.

Xbox going back up again. Looks like a better mover @ $349 + two games than being $299.

Hourly Update (~5 hours since JRPGfan's update)

PS4: #21 (↓8)
XBO: #68 (↓10)

I don't think I've ever seen the XBO that low before, and according to NPD the XBO is down by about 11% YoY so far. I think we'll see a $300 Slim model announced at or just before E3, because the XBO needs something to stimulate sales.

Are we sure that MS is interested in keeping the XBOX One. Maybe they are not interested in loosing more money in it.. after all Sony also let go PS3 and Vita and didnt reduce the prices to drive sales cuz i m sure Sony realised loosing money on them is not worth the extra sales. Just an opinion.

#07 No Man's Sky LE

People are really underestimating how many No Man's Sky will sell.

No Mans Sky is going to be big.

Rachet & clank is staying around the 50-60 ish range.

MLB The Show 16 has begone slowly climing the ranks (from around 100, down to under 70? and is now around 80)

Quantum break still isnt top100 on amazon, Im slightly worried about this game.
