Probably not,

Will probably get outsold by a PS4/home console game like Uncharted or something.

"This gen" started in 2011 because that is the year the 3DS launched.

It's also the year the Vita launched. And the Wii U in 2012... To say nothing of what was going on in the PC scene. This gen did not begin in 2013.

Yep, I think that Moon/Sun will surpass it, though it might be not 3DS exclusive (I'm counting with a NX release). Normally I'd say that X/Y would win, but I think that the release of Pokémon Go might give momentum to Pokémon this year, and maybe bring some new gamers. Or not. It's hard to tell.
