By all the gamer gods, let this be true! A lot of this really sounded awesome, which is why I kinda doubt it all, BUT the source have apparently been right about thing before... If this is true I see a bright future for Nintendo, and gamers. What's maybe the most interesting part to me is the rumble sticks; I can see a lot of awesome uses with that!

Very interesting rumor. Some of what's in it is similar to the thoughts of what I imagined the NX could be like in my video. Other things are pretty different. Hopefully Nintendo shines some light this March, followed by a full reveal at E3, and a launch in November!

Why is it actually so hard to find out the specs of the Nintendo Wii U? Aren't there any tech savvies who have oppened the console and analyzed everything?

Actually, IIRC,  people at GAF collected some money for Chipworls to take a photo of GPU die...but, that was not enough. Much latter, there was some devs talking about 192 GPU threads and there was quite a bit debate about that, but I think in the end consensus was that its GPU was 160:8:8 + TEVs from Wii...now this was long time ago, my memory is not as good as it used to be and things might've changed since then.

Other option is that some dev breaks NDA and tell us...now, we have at least 2 devs here who know what's inside WiiU, but for said reasons they can't speak.

Not officially, but some people torn apart hardware and analized GPU (its 176GFLOPs), and we already know that CPU is 1.2GHz 3-Core cpu, and that has 2GB from which OS uses one 1GB.

-CPU, 1.24 GHz 3-Core PPC CPU   /    8-Core 1.75GHz AMD CPU

-Ram 2GB RAM, where 1GB is for OS only   /  8GB RAM, where OS takes 3GB

 

Ruffle, Wii U hardware is around 4x less powerful than X1 hardware.

Even the people who tored it apart weren't sure of most of the gpu and those numbers people take for granted don't match wii u's games performance (would be weaker than ps360, when we know it's leagues ahead).

Look, WiiU's power (or more precisely lack of) has been disccussed in length here and on other forums and I really don't have time or desire to beat that dead horse. Now, if you're not another Zero999 alt, an infamous user around here who preached the WiiU's "hidden" power until he got banned for spreading fud, I suggest we skip this conversation all together, cause nothing good will come out of it.

Those only numbers we have about GPU so most likely they are true, we dont have any info that says otherwise. Wii U hardware in power is slightly above PS3/Xbox 360, has more RAM and better GPU but somehow weaker CPU.
