If Goldeneye ever see's the light of day again it should be on VC. Goldeneye belongs on Nintendo consoles only.

THANK YOU SO MUCH ONXYMETH, I'm so tired of hearing all this Goldeneye BS. Why should I care ;-;? The game is old.. let it die with that awesome spirit still in tact. Why bring it around for this generation of gamers and let them realize how dated the gameplay is -_-;

It annoys me when people talk about gameplay standards today when quite frankly Goldeneye still pisses on every FPS that gets released. It hasn't aged badly at all and if anything, it shows how bland alot of FPS efforts these days are in comparison.

 2 generations have passed and an 11 year old 'dated and badly aged' game still plays far better than anything we've seen yet. 

Well didn't the last rumor say that Reggie was cool with it but Nintendo of Japan was against the game being on any console other than a Nintendo's? That was a good enough explanation for me. I mean why is it ok for MS to let there games be on Nintendo systems but it's not ok the other way around. I guess these guys didn't learn to share when they were younger!

Believe in that statement all you want Mr. Marc but I've played, beaten, and loved to death that Goldeneye yes I have, and by no means does it "piss" on anything >_>; I've played plenty of shooters since then that I've enjoyed much more -_-; Hell, I enjoyed one of the 007 games that came out after Goldeneye more (grappling hook for spiderman gun-fights FTW). Goldeneye was GREAT for it's time, and if you still believe it's holding the un-precedented bar of greatness, it seems your simply unwilling to change and you'll take that opinion to the grave. Hell Perfect Dark > Goldeneye -_-;

It's not a matter of my being 'unwilling to change' because that's simply not true. Goldeneye is a timeless classic and I'd recommend anyone to play it over Crysis, Killzone, Halflife, Halo, or any other hypefest FPS titles because it still remains such fun to play today (Gotta love N64 emus with N64<>USB adaptors!) in both single and multiplayer.

You mention Perfect Dark which is definitely the subject of heated debate, but take that into perspective, if there is an FPS better than Goldeneye, it's only one of Rare's / Free Radical's own efforts: Perfect Dark or Timesplitters.

And shame on you for liking one of the EA 007 titles more than Goldeneye! That really is quite the crime indeed!

It's pathetic. They should just let Rare do what they want with it. Activison could never make a bond game as good as Goldeneye. And Nintendo never developed the game. SO LET RARE DO WITH THEIR CREATION WHAT THEY WANT.

My guess is that they are ALL to blame.

Activision wants an absurd amount of cash to allow it to be published

LOL Yeah I dunno I definitely agree that it's a classic, but it's a game I'm not sure modern gamers can appreciate. If I had children, I wouldn't start them with the Original Mario >_>; I hated that game >
