I haven't made a thread about the NX yet and haven't done so in general for a while. The NX is coming we don't what it is, what it looks like, it specs or whatsoever. So I am not even going to speculate about that. I do have a simple question will the NX be able to be succesfull amongside the salesbeast called PS4. I can see two scenario's ahead of me when it comes to the NX, if it even is another home console. The first scenario is that Nintendo is going to attack the PS4 by making a superior device with better specs X86 architecture and no BS gimmicks and close some sweet deals with third party supporters in which a partnership with Rockstar takes the cake as best case scenario.
In this scenario I see the NX not being able to do better than the XOne, but even that is quite animprovement in comparrison of the Wii U, let's call this the gamecube 2 scenario. My second scenario is the forthcoming of Wii U 2 but than better, in this scenario the NX will become a hybrid console, which will be even further detachable.. Imagine being able to play some of your favourite Wii, 3DS, GC and some Indie games on a more sleek gamepad (looking a bit like a PS Vita or gameboy advance with 2 analog sticks, gyro andtouchscreen) with it's own 8GB flash memory. When at home you can play Wii U and NX games on the big screen or off tv-mode. I see this device do much better than Wii U, but due to it still being powerpc (for backwards compabilty), so low third party support. Some streaming magic will even make playing NX and Wii U games you bought on the go a possibillity, with a good wifi network. This scenario embodies the best of handheld and console since you can litteraly play both and the memory of Gamepad 2 is ofcourse interchangable. Developers might even choose to make some games audienced for on the go against cheaper prices and full retail games for the NX at home.
I have said my toughts about the first scenario, what I would like to know from you guys is what do you think about the design of the second scenario and would it be able to do well alongside the twins.
Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar
