As stated many times when Iwata was in charge, NoJ could have the most forward thinking, business savvy, with the times President ever and it wouldn't matter because of the board of old, clueless directors who would shoot down anything "new and exciting". Nintendo's future is safe because they have money but it has been and will be playing catch up(in terms of console ability and competitive atmosphere) for as long as those fossils sit at their chairs.
