Forums - Gaming - Will you(Wii U owners) be pissed with Nintendo if they drop support this year?

Would you be pissed with NX replacing the Wii U this year?

Yes, 4 year is too short of a console cycle. 79 38.92%

Well, at first i didnt get excited with wii u. only rayman legends and bayonetta 2 got my atention on the promised lineup.
i bought a wii U when they first released the first xenoblade x video. because i freaking love xenoblade.
I knew that the system would probably get mario kart and smash bros and a zelda, rayman legends and bayonetta to comlpete the package. So, that was enough for getting the console.
And i got much more than i expected to be worth to get a console.

DKCTF was a great surprise(has become my favorite game on system, it became a amazing dk experience, with no motion controls to ruin rthe experience), the rayman legends was also far better than i expected, with those(and some indies) i really felt like in the gold age of 2d plataform games. Something i didnt expect from when i bought it.
best MK, best smash(imho), and other more surprises: mario 3d world, pikmin, HW, splatoon, mario maker. lots of great experiences.
Just waiting zelda. but i could try also pokken and maybe smtxfe meanwhile. but i still have plenty to play on the system from the older games.

But from what i expected, and from what i thought would be worth enough to get the console, i got much more. so, im pretty happy with wii U library.

No.

Personally, I won't be. I have accepted that the console was a failure and it's time to move on. Despite that, Ninten still managed to release a good amount of great software (minus a few), and released them fairly quickly. That, and managing the 3DS is well? Color me impressed.

Anyways, I've had plenty of fun with the Wii U, and still do. So no, not pissed. Just disappointed in the lost potential u_u;

I am very happy with it... But I just need those extra two games I really want to be fully sastisfied. Animal Crossing U and an RPG of sorts or maybe a new IP? Idk. I just need a little more to be a sastisfied costumer.

They're not going to "drop support this year". They will support Wii U through the holidays. NEXT year? I expect there to be a decline in support, or perhaps no new Nintendo retail titles for Wii U in 2017. But 2016 has plenty of games coming, including at least one or two, I'd suspect, that Nintendo has not officially announced yet.

No, they just have to release what they promised at this point.

Not really, no.

I've already gotten 90% of my fill thanks to Smash Wii U, Splatoon, and Xenoblade X.

All that's left is Zelda U, and I'll be 100% satisfied with my console.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

I don't care either way, I have had plenty of fun in the past 4 years to cover the price of admission.

Nope, I have owned Wii U for about 2 years now and between retail, eShop & Virtual Console titles I have about 30 games and that will grow to 40+ when factoring in games releasing later this year and previously released games that I havent gotten yet.
