Its just how things work for nintendo, once a new console releases thats basically it for the older model.

They dont have the same lifetime as playstations (look at the PS3 still getting tons of new games), most people dont expect nintendo consoles to work that way either.

Basically Nintendo owners have come to accept it as the "norm", so no Wii U owners wont be pissed.

Truth be told, those new games for the PS3 are from 3rd parties, not from Sony. That's why Nintendo consoles die fast, because the lack of 3rd party support.

OT. Nah, I'll be fine. I would have liked more games (or certain games to be more precise *cough*Metroid*cough*) but Wii U has given me enough games to enjoy, and being a failed console means that Nintendo has to move on.

Nintendo allready dropped support when it comes to my taste after Project Zero and XCX, i doubt anything similliar will come out. So no i am not pissed

I'm already majorly disappointed with the Wii U. When it comes to worthwhile games, it is the worst console I've ever owned. If it wasn't for Smash I never would have touched this console.

So no, they can replace it.  Good riddice.  And I'm pretty sure they'll be no new Smash Bros for a while so it'll have zero must have games.

"You should be banned. Youre clearly flaming the president and even his brother who you know nothing about. Dont be such a partisan hack"

I mean, I bought mine for the soul purpose of playing Smash... So no, I wouldn't mind if NX released this year.

What will get my feathers ruffled, though, is if people start calling it a 9th Gen console.

Sure, i would feel short changed, but aslong as they support it this year i'm ok with it.

But, as far as buying the next system it will be more difficult. As i will wait this time and make sure that the system is sucessful and long live before i make a purchase.

I'm with you, and I think that will be Nintendo's biggest problem with NX.

Nah, I think it will hurt more to stay on a dead console, trying to revive it, rather than just bring a new console with new games. The Wii U had plenty of great games, and I just hope that the NX will have at least as many.

They dropped supporting WiiU 1 year ago, so why should we be pissed now?

I have a PS4 now so I don't give a damn anymore long live(span) play, but if your Wii U is your primairy console I can see that people are pissed. But for those I can only say buy one of the twins, a pc or don't cry and buy an NX for (probably) the same scenario. Nintendo console life cycles have always been shorter than those of it's rivals I see no reason why that should change now.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Yep. This would be the point where I refuse to buy any more Nintendo products.
Meanwhile PlayStation consoles have a life cycle of at least 5 or 6 years. So would buy Sony consoles instead.
