While nothing is concrete, with the potential leaks of a 7th Gen game, it resparked a question I've had for a while. Will Mega Evos be a 6th Gen gimmick or continue onto other Gens? I feel like they'll either be dropped at some point (maybe not 7th Gen but maybe 8th) or there will be a way to just keep those evolutions permanetly (however, I'm sure some of them will have to be nerfed, talking about you, Mega Kanghaskan!)

Personally I think Mega Evos have been handled poorly. I think they should have only been used for remakes to give people reason to come back to the older games, but that's just me XD

You give me no choice! XDD. But I like mega-evolutions, so I hope they keep that and add new megas.

There is no way they are taking megas away now. This is not just a gimmick, this deeply affects the gameplay.

Mega Evolution is now a hallmark of the Pokémon series. Not only in games, but in the anime as well. They're not dropping it.

What I would love is being able to evolve in a battle, instead of waiting till it's over.

Considering how it's kind of a major gameplay element now, it would cause a lot of chaos and controversy if they were to just remove it for no good reason.

They're going to stay so that they can justify introducing fewer new Pokemon each gen...

I could see them beeing removed. If someone here knows what's beeng going on with gen 6 then they know the multiverse theory so for Megaevolutions to disappear it only takes to move to another dimension and PUFF, no more Megas...

Yes, I didn't see this as part of something exclusive to this gen..

My answer is I hope to god they do, but they wont because Charizard Y. I really dislike Mega's.
