Splatoona good single campaign from day 1, tons of weapons and gear, a 1vs1 local mode, 3 online modes, the online worked perfectly since day one and the extra content didnt need to be unlocked by ridiculous amounts of in game money, and also it started coming the same week the game was released. So no.

Actually Splatoon had only a tacked on single player mode with not much of a story and at launch you could only choose from 2 maps and 1 online mode and the 1v1 mode is not true 1v1 because the Wii U isn't powerful enough to support true local multiplayer.

Plus Splatoon is missing several stable features you find in all FPS online games such as private lobbies or even voice chat.

So no, Splatoon is a less complete game at launch but the gaming media cartel didn't have a problem with that did they.

1. The single campaign of Splatoon is around 7 hours long, with is the average of most of the best games of the genre.
2. There were 5 maps and you could choose 2 every 4 hours and they were different in Ranked Mode, the rotation system is a weird design choice, not a lack of content, and is probably made to assure a good online experience, and it seems as it worked because Splatoon had significantly less online problems than most online experiences this gen.
3. On day 1 the game had 2 online modes, 1 to play with people around the world, and one to play with your friends. just 3-4 days later a third mode was unlocked, Ranked Mode that came with Battle Zones. 3 Modes on the first week.
4. How is a mode where 1 character competes with another character on local multiplayer no a true 1VS1? And how is possible that the console is not powerfull enough for 2 players on local multiplayer yet there are 8 players on every online battle?
5. No Splatoon is not missing private lobbies, you can do private lobbies with customizable rules and choose any of the 15 maps you want to play, no rotation system there.

No Splatoon was a way more complete experience, it didnt feel like a Demo as many people accuse SFV now.

They didnt add anythig relevant, just to replay some levels with a different weapon even when those levels were not designed for that. People is using amiibos as an excuse, they always do.

Yes I got the game for 32€ two days before its official release lol, and few months later it had 3 times more content and it was totally worth 60€ so I actually feel like I stole from Nintendo and not the other way around. I believe it was also cheaper in Japan, like 50$ or so.

I was ignoring this one because it's just too easy, but you just don't stop, so oh well...
"It doesn't matter, they add nothing relevant" when you have to argue about the lack of content add by Amiibos.
"few months got 3x more content, was worth the double" when you have to argue about the value and amount of the content, that's now relevant.

Let it Rip!

Eh... what?

Can you explain me what is the relation between me saying that the amiibo in Splatoon added very lame content with the fact that 3 months of free updates made the game worth the 60$ purchase? Because i´m having problems understanding it. Both statements are right and compatible, what is the problem? Splatoon wasnt worth 60$ if only had the content on day 1 but soon it did thanks to the promised updates that came quick, but amiibo never was worthwhile, it represents like a 1% of the game content, not like the 60% as the free updates were.

Amiibo content was one of those not available in game that got available as "more content" to add to that "3x more content" the game got.
Which is not relevant when it's taken as a bad side of the 'more content' you have praised later.
Picking each egg of the same basket in a different way to support your stuff. Just like always.

I... dont understand you honestly

Amiibo, as I say, is like a 1% of the content of the game, it makes you replay som of the same missions you have already played with a different weapon, it is not worth the price and it doesnt add anything relevant to the game at all, however 3 times more maps, weapons, gear and modes made a huge difference, the amiibo didnt, at all. That's why I said that the complains about amiibo are an excuse, because the added content was lame in quantity and quality, the free updates however were huge, a new map is already 10 times better than what all 3 amiibo unlocked.

Is a bit tricky, to compare the single player length of a shooter vs a fighter, but Mortal Kombat has already raised the bar and made it clear that fighters can have a meaty single player campaign.

I personally think it's a little naive to assume that all games can and should follow the same formula in how their content is released and updated. It would be nice if everything could be a complete, bug-free product at launch, but that's may not always be the optimal strategy for every developer or every game. Doing things like DLC and frequent content updates is also a good way to ensure longevity, which is especially important for games that focus on online multiplayer content.

I do think, however, that the consumers need to be fully informed about the product they're currently purchasing, and given at least some idea of the minimum possible amount of additional content they can expect in the future so they can more accurately gauge the value proposition for themselves.

Street Fighter, not Nintendo, crap.

Broken record much.

Reality is a broken record?

Epic analogy, bro.

Its fine. Even if accidental, that was a very deep analogy.

Some of the "free" DLC on SFV was probably planned to be charged for, but the back lash has killed those plans.

It was always said to be fully free dlc for ALL characters and modes, don't pull things out of thin air here, please.

Fair, sorry, let me rephrase. It launched a game missing features that have been standard and expected by most street fighter fans to be on the game. They are now not on the game but "free" dlc to have the appearance of more free content. This obviously did not sit well with many people who bought the game. It is shown in it's poor initial scores on store sites and fan reviews. If you launch a bare bones game and don't feature very much single player mode at all, your online has to be solid,  it was not. That made the lack of, and later appearing single player dlc's absence even bigger.

You can unlock costumes that you can pay for, from a dlc store that didn't exist at launch.

No paid dlc is true, but they still will release multiple versions of 5 to get more $$$ from loyal fans. So I'm sorry I made a harsh comment that may not have been true. I just don't like the way capcom treats it's fans.
