Forums - Gaming - "Sekindo" ads is ruining my VGChartz experience. Thinking of leaving this website.

This is getting me very frustrated. Why is this add BLOCKING a upper right menu AND search bar?. If this is someone's way of gaining a persons attention, ITS NOT WORKING whatsoever. I don't even pay attention to the add, and when I do I hate the product because it's blocking my menu.

The "hide" button is not on the screen because I'm too zoomed in... I have to unzoom, hide it and zoom it back in again EVERYTIME I go unto another page. It's very very annoying. If the owners of the this website leave these adds then I'll LEAVE this website for good and find another one. It'll be a damn shame if this add deal stays even though it's chasing daily users away.

I come on this website everyday and I'll leave if this add problem stays. There's already too many adds on here anyways why add this one?? (Pun not intended)

The ads  ruines the experience and BLOCKS OUT the menu and search bar, which is one of the most important things of being a user on this site. Remove this now! So frustrating!

For once, I agree with you. it is getting pretty annoying having to press the hide button every time I move from one page to the next in a single threads.

Absolutely do not use Adblock.

Firefox:
https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/

Chrome:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/adblock/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidom?hl=fr

Is it just on mobile ? , I usually come here on my desktop and for some reason i only get a slim advertising banner just under the VGChartz logo and one at the bottom along with a small video window on the right that I can close, both left and right are black , once upon a time they where full of ads.

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

All these precious experiences ruined....

pssst also what boutros said.

Agreed with OP.

Hahaha I  just noticed the "ruining experience" thing. I am NOT trying to create a "Too hard!" sequel or anything. This was just a coincidence I guess. Still funny tho!

On mobile it's getting a bit annoying

On my iPad some of the ads are stretching the page and makes it impossible to zoom in.. I just keep refreshing till there is an ad that doesn't screw up the width of the site..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I TOTALLY agree. I just disabled my Ublock Origin to see what was going on.

Every time I go to a new page on the SAME THREAD, a large ad slides out from the right hand side, covering up the search bar and half the post. There is a 'hide' tab on the ad, but guess what, I can't get to it, because the ad is placed too high up, so that the 'hide' tab is hiding under my browser's toolbar.

Like the OP, I have to go into my browser settings, zoom out so that I can reach the hide tab on the ad, click on the hide tab so that the ad disappears, then zoom back in again so I can look at the page, EVERY TIME.

My ad blocker is back on again and I am safe. If I didn't have the option of using an ad blocker, I would have left the site long ago.
