Forums - Sony - GDC 2016: Sony Dates PlayStation VR Presentation (March 15th 2pm PT)

Sony has sent out invites for a PlayStation VR event being held in the middle of March.

The invite-only event will be held on March 15 in San Francisco. The "exclusive press event" will begin with a presentation on the PlayStation VR, formerly code-named Morpheus. That begins at 2pm PT, followed by several hours of hands-on demos.

The event will be held as part of the 2016 Games Developers Conference.

hm.. doesn't really scream "we will announce price/release date" to me

This has to be it. They've stuck to it coming out in the first half of this year and this is the last big event before E3.

I'm so excited...

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Yeah, this has to be the date where they announce the price and release date.

(´-`).。oO(interesting...)

The whole VR thing still seems gimmicky to me.

Nice, hopefully they finally announce the price and release date. Alongside with the day one line up. That said, just DriveClub alone would make me buy it if the price is fair.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Litteraly hours of demos after the event. They're probably going to show off the full PSVR lineup for 2016.

So now that almost all VR competitors revealed their prices, I wonder what the price of Sony's VR solution will be.
I think they will have at least the cheapest VR.

I'll have to remember that date. Should be interesting. Tagging.

ever since they didnt announce price/release date at PSX last year, i been expecting them to do so at GDC, so i fully expect a price, release date and launch line up.
