Whatever happened to Project Treasure? I still want that game to happen already!

It released in Japan last year. December 3, 2015. It's now known as Lost Reavers. No word on a NA or EU release yet...

So we should be looking at it happening sometime this year then :D I wondered what happened to it since it was announced during a Direct. Looking forward to it!

...have you ever seen Tekken Tag Tournament footage? It's exactly that, with slightly faster movement and perspective that locks ocassionally.

No is not, could you see this video and explain me how you dont see the difference between tekken tag tournament and pokken system?

I'd be happy to, just as soon as you read my posts and explain how you don't see the caveats I put there.

I mean, it looks really bad, but anything is better than what we got last year.

Runs on the same engine, uses the same 2.5D perspective as Tekken games, uses a simplified control scheme based on Tekken's. Honestly, I'd be interested in seeing some of these differences outside of pure aesthetics.

...Have you ever even SEEN Tekken before? You're literally talking out of your ass. None of that is true. Neither the perspective nor the control scheme is even remotely based on Tekken. It has more in common with the Naruto competitive action games than Tekken.

I think you might want to look up the word "literally," because it certainly doesn't mean whatever you think it means.

The 2.5 D perspective is very much inspired by Tekken; the developers have said as much in interviews, and considering it was built on the same engine that Tekken runs on, it would pretty much have to be inspired. I'm not sure how you can really argue against that.

As for the control scheme, it's a simplified version of the control scheme, obviously, but one still heavily rooted in Tekken, designed for dashing in quickly and trying to get a set up on your opponent, while spending most of the game in footsies.

It doesn't use the 2.5D perspective that Tekken uses at all. It goes from traditional 2D, which is nothing like Tekken as there is no sidestepping which is "literally" the only reason Tekken can qualify itself as a 2.5D fighter at all, to full 3D action, which exists absolutely nowhere in traditional Tekken. That means that a whopping 0% of the perspective is taken from Tekken. It doesn't matter what the devs said on the matter. It's false.

As for the control scheme, it's not a simplified version of anything Tekken. It's a completely different control scheme based on completely different mechanics. Tekken's controls are based on individual limbs. There is also traditionally little to no projectiles in Tekken. Pokken controls "literally" nothing like that. If anything, it's an adapted version of the control scheme in Super Smash Bros. for a 3D environment.

Y is a Weak Attack, or a Tilt in Smash

X is a Strong Attack, or a Smash in Smash

A is a Pokemon Attack, or a Special in Smash

B is Jump and given its own dedicated button unlike any other fighting game including Tekken but exactly like Smash (and the Naruto action games)

R is Guard, or Sheild in Smash

The only major difference is that Grab/Throw move requires two buttons (Y+B) instead of just the one like in Smash.

It's nothing like Tekken that isn't also true of all competitive action games.

You're talking out of your ass.

Literally.

I can't really say.........
But this year, "Nintendo" has a better year than last year for me.

2015 (games interest me)
- Splatoon (bought)
- MP10 (bought)
- Minecraft Wii U (bought)
- Triforce Heroes (bought, but for my brother)

While so far in 2016
- TP HD
- Hyrule Warriors Legends
- Pokken
- Fe Fates (This alone is already an awesome year for me!)
- Zelda U
- FExSMT
And perhaps a new Pokemon Game!?

It's line up this year looks pretty similar on paper to its other years?

First half of 2016 how many new games are there? Pokken and star Fox. Am I missing anything?

Twilight Princess HD the 4th od next month, and Shin Megami X Fire Emblem in summer. All could be considered relatively soon.

I said new games because twilight princess is an old game.  It would be like including dark cloud HD on the list of PS4 games so far this year.

good ? really funny ^^ for GAMER not.
