Better not be supported in multiplayer games or people with KB+M will have a distinct advantage.

Its been done in the past with Quake 3 on Dreamcast and Unreal T3 on PS3. I think they know its a bad idea at this point.

Maybe Halo Wars 2 will have crossplay. So KB+M players can find each other on console or PC.

They could just make it where the devs can either allow or not allow the feature to prevent it on FPS games.

Then use the feature to unleash a ton of RTS games which would be pretty awesome!

Just for shits and giggles at all the haters, I'd love it if this made Age of Empires, Starcraft 2, Total War, etc. come to Xbone as console exclusives

People ask should the Xbox one drop $50 in price to compete?  I don't think it's about price anymore but about differentiating it.

Becoming the RTS console and bringing over great franchises would be excellent!  Launch kb/m support with new AOE with preorders snagging all previous versions playable on Xbox one followed by announcing the porting of some great franchises now available to download. That's dropping a hammer.

For the average consumer Xbox already offers what many want. So price does matter more than you suggest.

Becoming an RTS wouldnt do much because avid RTS fans are on PC. But for the sake of variety its nice to have some.

Price and continued support of exclusives (whether or not on Windows) is most important.

I don't understand your point.

If it already offers what the average consumer wants then why does it need to be cheaper?  If perceived value has met asked price there isn't an immediate necessity to lower the asking price is there?

I mostly play RTS on PC and I'd love to do so on the console.  Interesting how you shoot down my opinion to tell me what consumers want then give me your opinion about a group that includes me only to tell me I wouldn't like what I just told you I'd like.

At that point rather go with my PC.

This "who needs a Xbox, I got a PC" thing is getting old. Advice for the mods, lets consider calling a form of trolling. Its becoming an issue in many threads.

Anyhow, a mouse and keyboard would make using things the web browser more appealing. Maybe some games will even use it like Halo Wars 2.

I hope fps games don't start using it for the sake of xb1 fans. This will make it impossible for controller players to compete.

Great news. I hope Ps4 will follow suit sooner or later.
I would be getting Doom 4 on Ps4 if it had Keyboard/mouse support.

good for gamers who like keyboard and mouse but I'm sure they already have a PC. But still a good move for MS.

As Zero said, the PS4 already supports K/M. It's just up to devs to implement it.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

This...

They should bring more rts then. How about reviving some franchises MS?

At first I was thinking that idea but then I remembered the whole OS and store restriction plan. I'd rather someone else bring more RTS games back from the dead than simply tying them to a single OS and store while screwing over the rest.

Also if we're in talks of K+M support, I can't for the life of me see every X1 player using them let alone having every X1 game natively supported to play with the setup. Could you imagine a few people outright destroying another bunch who have used a gamepad for years?. There is a strict reason as to why PC and console players aren't in direct competiion when it comes to FPS or games that rely heavily on a M+K setup.

I imagine Halo Wars 2 will be largely centrered around their gamepad than a K+M, especially considering how the first game never touched PC and was all about the gamepad design despite last gen having a small K+M support of it's own.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Good to know, thanks. I've just checked. Too bad only a couple of games are natively supporting it right now.
