Forums - Microsoft - XB1 Getting Keyboard And Mouse Support

Don't see how this is a big deal. Don't most consoles support keyboard and mouse. The PS4 has supported mouse and keyboard since forever. What takes MS so long. As with most things it will all come down to dev support.

Also it's funny the "criticizing Xbox is trolling" routine we have going on now.

I'm not an Xbox fan. But dangit, I hope you guys catch a break soon on not becoming a Steambox. KB/M by itself isn't bad, but compiled with everything else, it seems like MS just wants to turn XB1 into a Windows 10 PC.

I love your double standards when it comes to things.

PS4 exclusive (Even if 3rd party coming to PC) Doesnt matter, PC guys dont play the same games, People buy consoles for ease of use and cos they are cheaper then PC's etc etc.

But when its any other console that has an exclusive game also going to PC and even when its on "THE COMPANYS OWN STORE AND PLATFORM" everyone is going to game on PC now.

Like i said in another thread, i bet MS is really happy that they are going to be gaining so many Sony and Console gamers to their Windows 10 Store for this game and the others, since it seems like PC gamers aint biting just yet.

Yeah, except most of your argument falls apart due to the nearly 200 confirmed Sony exclusives and your own incorrect information (PS4 doesn't support KB/M as a default, it's been added into only a single game). But by all means, continue being wrong.

 

The entire point is people spent money on XB1 to get an experience they can't get elsewhere. And it's starting to seem like that's not the case. As it stands there are only 44 confirmed games to be available only on Xbox platforms. Yeah, good for Microsoft. But as far as the Xbox platform is concerned? Bad.

Youre hoping Xbox fans catch a break? I've had a blast with many X1 games not on PS4.

If anything, I'm waiting for my PS4 to catch up with my X1 with good exclusives regardless if they are on PC. SFV was my most anticipated game and its a work in progress. I will play through the Uncharted 4 campaign before SFV has one.

My point isn't about PlayStation 4, nor did I even bring it up.

Its obvious the statement was a jab against xbox. This was already announced months ago, but with the present situation was only said now. I never stated I didn't want critism, but trying to stealth troll like this should be considered an offence. I'd say the exact same had it been in any other section of the forums as well.

I honestly thought that the xbox one had mouse and keyboard support already so it was news to me when i saw this thread. My thoughts on it were "why wasn't a keyboard at least supported already?" and "I guess that's good it's gonna be supported for xbox owners.". 

It's not much different than PS4 owners not being alerted when their friends sign in and being told we will eventually get the feature.

Anyway how is that jab at xbox? He doesn't say his opinion but says a few others will share his thoughts on it.

Well Dang, with how many people are going to switch to PC gaming now thanks to this game, im surprised games like Call of Duty and Fifa etc dont outsell their console versions by alot on PC. YA know since them games are much bigger then this. Id imagine Shenmue 3 and No mans sky and Final Fantasy 7 Remake should also outsell the console versions too. I mean if you and so many others have such great gaming PC's why not play them games and other 3rd party ones on PC??. I want you to answer this question.

Also exactly how many of them 200 confirmed Sony exclusives are not going to be coming to the PC?, i bet that list has a lot of console only exclusives in it .

And yes it is good for Xbox as a platform. Once it leaves the Shackles of a console behind and breaks free into becoming a Platform that works on a number of Windows 10 devices its install base will gain a huge boost.

Anyway i cant wait for you and the rest of your fellow console gamers to switch to Windows 10 and use Xbox store on that . PC gaming is about to get a HUGE boost also it seems.

And I like how smug you act, because that's the number of exclusives only coming to PS4 and PS3. The total jumps to 399 if I include console exclusives, then 441 if I also include Timed.

 

And then here comes the Zero argument, where his PC master race sig comes into play. The problem is it doesn't answer the dilemma of people being sold a machine for unique experiences and then not getting them.

And I never said PS4 exclusive. That was never the point. The point was PS4 games not on PC. But you go right on ahead changing what we're discussing. I look forward to what you'll say we're arguing about next.

It's always been like though. 

A game on Xbox being on PC = less reason to own Xbox because it's also on PC
A game on PS being on PC = well I don't play on PC that's why I got a console

No one thought a keyboard and mouse was a negative when it was announced on PS... but on XB? Less reason to own one.

Except there really isn't many kbm games on PS4, and PS4 didn't lose a big exclusive to PC with rumors of more on the way out.

Keyboard already works but only for typing stuff, not using it as a controller. Having full keyboard and mouse support would be awesome for Halo Wars 2 (I don't plan on getting the game unless I can play it with a keyboard and mouse).
