Forums - Politics Discussion - Wage gap gets debunked(checkmate)

When I used to be with feminism(for a short time), one piece of evidence I constantly heard was the wage gap.

"For every 78 cents a woman makes, a man makes a dollar".

They'd then show their neat graphs and whatnot. For a while, I accepted it as fact. That is, until I stumbled upon this genius:

A man that goes by the name

Milo Yiannopoulos

Yes, I had to make his name huge for emphasis. After watching the video, he slaps reality into the statistic. I never thought one of the main arguments used for feminism would be debunked so easily. Unfortunately, the person he was interviewing kept using emotions, using her personal experiences most of the time. It got worse when the two women basically joined together as forces.

The more I stay away from feminism, the more I'm starting to see the holes in it.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

And another, by Christina Hoff Sommers.

My favorite part of the 78 cents per dollar line is that I've seen similar statements made dating back 20 years. Even if it were as clear as it sounds, this would suggest that feminism is ineffective at improving women's lives. It would also suggest that college degrees directly decrease one's wages, since more women get degrees.

Love and tolerate.

That's actually been criticised to pieces for years, though people still use it because it suits their agenda. The reality is that comparing wages across professions is idiotic.

I love how this interview begins: 'women first.' In a nutshell, that's what's wrong with feminism. And when the guy tells them the data comes from a female, the news reader says rather patronisingly 'good for her'. They want half the pie and control over the other half.
