Forums - Gaming - Where would we be without Sony this gen?

Gamewise nothing would be lost, PS hasn't brought any must have games. It just happened to be the comfortable point for developers and costumers...

Most everyone would have bought an X1 and moved on with their lives

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

We'd have a choice between X1, WII U, and PC but the latter isn't a realistic option for most console users out there ...

The X1 would have done mildly better than it did now and the WII U could have also done a little better too ...

The console focused AAA industry as we see now would collapse since most publishers hardly have any experience developing PC centric games ...

I'm just glad that Sony is still there to support the industry even though I'm primarily a PC gamer nowadays cause I happen to favour high production single player games more ...

The most likely thing to happen is that gamers, whether they hate Microsoft policies or not, would still buy the console, and probably adapt to its DRM measures.

I Would be playing on PC, i think that most people would be playing on PC, already have DRM, and 100% Online, and all the games would be released for PC, because Xbox, is not a Worldwide brand, there would be Dozens of Millions of Playstation Users, drowing in the Seas.

I would continue playing on my PC and then buy a Wii U.

I would likely game less, play primarily on a Wii U and possible get a gaming PC by 2017 if it got Japanese support.

I go where the Japanese games go. They are the difference maker.

Probably not on a video gam forum.

The last part is abut of an oddity as the vast majority of PC gamers play MOBAs and MMOs.
